Finally, it was Saturday and Valeria was already excited to meet her kids. They had not parted on good terms and she really wanted to make things right now. She had been well dressed and had even met with Mylene to arrange the house for her.
Everything was looking promising. There was a knock on the door and Valeria rushed to check if it was them. "Aunt Desiree?" She frowned. "Where...where are the kids?"
"They'll be here soon." Desiree said bluntly, then walked in. "I'm starving. Kindly go to the kitchen and fetch me what to eat, alright?" She was saying when Jose ran from a car in front that Valeria hadn't noticed before.
"Mommy!" He yelled continuously as he ran.
Valeria was suddenly the most happiest woman in the room. She hurried forward to meet him and squeezed him into a deep hug. "Oh Jose! I've missed you so much!"
"Missed you too. Mummy, why are you crying?"
