"Thanks to that kind woman who brought you to the hospital on time," Valeria said to her sister who was laying on her back on the hospital bed.
Some men had tried to attach her but luckily, Mylene had been able to run outside just on time to cry for help while a lady drove her to the hospital. She had been bleeding as her attacker had stabbed her with a knife.
"I dunno what would have happened," Mylene confessed. Her eyes were still teary as she had been scared for her life. "I could have been dead, sister...I... I dunno what...I dunno what would have happened if..." She sniffled between words.
Valeria had been trying to be strong but she'd just reached her limits. She tried not to speak, out of fear that her voice could crack. "Hey..." Tears welled up in her eyes. "Look at me, you're safe now. That's all that matters."
