The drive back home was peaceful and quiet. Valeria couldn't believe what Jose had told her. They said nothing until they were back at his apartment. Then there was a video call which Rose had arranged discreetly so their location couldn't be found.
"Valeria oh I'm so glad you're okay!" Rose said as soon as the call was connected.
Valeria couldn't hide the fact that she had been disorganized, but she was able to tell that her kids and sister were not around.
"Where's Mylene? And the kids??" Sye asked immediately.
"Over here, sis!" Mylene showed her face and so did her kids.
At least she was feeling much better now. After their little reunion, she knew it was time they tackled what had just happened.
Mylene offered to take the kids upstairs so Rose remained on the line. "So what are you thinking, Valeria?" Rose asked her as if she too could see the distress in her eyes.
Valeria sighed. "Well, the thing is they I'm so confused."
