That morning, Valeria was seated in her office. The code was the pascode that they'd been searching for all this while. Only issue was that it was a huge pile of nonsense. But Jose has devoted his time to finding out more about it.
She resumed work like he was still on his vacation, and she hoped it would be a stress free day.
Her phone rang and she was quite shocked to see it's caller. "Lola, thank God. I've been trying to reach you."
Lola laughed from over the phone, and Valeria could feel the relief that came with her voice.
"Thanks to you I'm not in prison. Damn it I was scared for a moment you would take their words over mine. It really wasn't me..."
"I knew that." Valeria confirmed. "But it's alright now. You need to know now that you should be in hiding for the time being. It's going to be alright, but for now...be safe, Lola." She advised.
"Thank you so much for everything, Valeria. You're the best."
