The next morning, preparing for work was the same thing. Valeria didn't bother to meet James for what he would eat, or what his family would eat. She took care of her own kids as well as Mylene, and headed straight to work.
James came to knock on her door after Valeria had requested to meet him.
"You called for me?" James asked, taking his seat.
"I didn't say you could sit." She said, trying to keep a straight face. Seconds later, she bursted out in laughter. "Oh I'm sorry, was just trying to act like a mean boss,"
"It wasn't funny, Valeria." James frowned, not laughing with Valeria.
When she had calmed down, she proceeded to reaching out to James. With a heavy sigh, she began.
"You know of this rumor that is spreading now, and honestly I'm lost." Valeria confessed. "I need all the help that I can get. Really."
James stared at her. "You know what? This is too much for you."
