Chapter 1 - Prologue

[Welcome to the Dungeon Master System]

The eerie voice reverberated through his mind, causing a surge of confusion.

"What strange voice is this? Don't tell me it's what I think it is," he muttered, his drowsy consciousness slowly awakening.

[Congratulations, you have been chosen to be a Dungeon Master. Your goal is to create, organize, and promote your Dungeon.]

Scratching his head in disbelief, he mumbled, "Hmmmm, I swear I haven't been drinking. After all, I'm working. I just dozed off because I don't have patients at the moment."

"Hey system, is this for real?"

[Yes]

(Am I still dreaming? This feels like something from those old light novels.)

The world is no longer the same. Two decades ago, the world had undergone an astonishing transformation—monsters, dungeons, and magic had emerged from the realm of fantasy to become a tangible part of existence.

At first, everything was chaotic, but over time, society began to stabilize. These changes brought not only negatives but also opportunities.

"What do you mean by 'chosen ones'? And what is this system, what is it for?"

[Various people around the world were chosen to participate in a test. One of the entities responsible for this galaxy found it interesting and wants to see what would happen if it gave a chance for some people to transcend.]

[The system is just a tool created to facilitate this.]

"How many people were chosen?"

[Approximately 5% of the world's population, spread across all parts of the world.]

Trying to process the situation, he enters a thoughtful state.

[A moment to understand the situation has been granted. Now the system will return to its programming, and any further questions may or may not be answered after the introduction.]

Listening to this, the young man snaps out of his reflective moment and starts paying attention to what is being said.

[Welcome to the Dungeon Master System]

[All chosen ones will have the chance to change their own destiny. You can have everything—treasures, opportunities, wealth, strength, status—anything you want!]

[All chosen ones will have a basic dimension and a starter package to build their own dungeon!]

[In addition, the chosen ones will awaken certain talents!]

[Attention all chosen ones, please use this as a foundation to develop your dungeon and participate in the competition for the title of the Supreme Master!]

[Chosen ones can lose their position as dungeon masters, either by abandoning the position, through duels, or by selling their right to be a dungeon master.]

[Warning: Those who abandon the right will not have a second chance to possess it.]

[GENERATING RANDOM TALENT]

[Talent: Adaptability] [Able to develop 30% faster and ignore growth limitations. Talent affects all dungeon residents and the chosen one.]

"What a mediocre talent, or maybe not, I don't know, considering I chose to work in healthcare and not be a professional fighter."

[You have 3 months to develop your dungeon and show that you can meet the expectations of a dungeon master.]

[Objective 1: Have a minimum of 100 visitors.]

[Objective 2: Have a minimum of 3 levels of difficulty.]

[Objective 3: Have a minimum of 1 hero.]

[Please work hard to develop your dungeon and pass the Novice Test. Otherwise, you will lose your right as a chosen one!]

[Those who achieve the objectives will be rewarded, with better rewards offered depending on the achieved results.]

"Where is my Dungeon located?"

[The dungeon can be established anywhere. Since the dungeon exists in another dimension, you only need to select a location to serve as a portal to that dimension.]

[Note: Access portals can only be changed after 3 months or by using special items.]

"I'm sorry to ask, but how do dungeons work? I only have a little knowledge about them, never really delved into it or visited one."

[Dungeons are spaces for tests and opportunities. In them, you can fight against monsters and other creatures. By defeating these creatures, challengers are rewarded with increased power or items. If challengers die in the dungeon challenges, they may lose some items or experiences generated by the dungeons, along with a state of weakness for a certain time.]

"How and why does this happen?"

[You do not currently have sufficient authority to know this type of information.]

[Please establish an access point as soon as possible to enjoy the system and its functions.]

"After deciding to stay away from these things, I'm chosen for this."

"I confess I've always been curious or had a desire to fight monsters, but my fear was always greater. I guess this is a chance to try something new and see how it goes."

Before seeking a location to establish the dungeon, he attended to a few matters. First, he requested a vacation from the physiotherapy clinic where he works; since it was last-minute, he could only secure a week off.

"I need to check if everyone in the family is alright, find a combat instructor, and someone knowledgeable about dungeons. Maybe even see if any friend is in the same boat as I am. Well, the odds are low, but if they've also been chosen, I'm sure they won't stay silent."

While heading home, he began searching the internet for information about dungeons. Incredibly, there are already individuals offering private dungeon services.

"The idea is intriguing."

Evidently, many people are expressing interest. Typically, dungeons are found away from populated areas, and some countries have begun developing towns and villages around them. What deters many from exploring these dungeons is the peril of traveling, especially for those unaccustomed to dealing with monsters.

One of the changes that occurred in the world is that people started awakening powers by defeating monsters.

The "Awakened," as they're called, are individuals who gain access to these incredible powers. One common thread among them is the ability to access an attributes panel.
