The next morning.
Today is the day Fred and the others are going to sell cards. Last night, they came up with a good plan at the dinner table.
Especially since today is a day off.
They planned to get Lee Jordan and Wood involved, setting up a small table for a Hearthstone showdown between the two to attract attention.
Of course, these two would also get a card pack as a reward.
As part of the inner circle, Wood and the others had been eagerly awaiting the sale of these cards.
Lee Jordan even said this would be a major game-changer in the wizarding world and insisted on being the referee and commentator for the game.
Fred and George's Gryffindors got up very early, even forcibly dragging Harry and Ron out of bed.
Under the watchful eyes of the Fat Lady, the group left the Gryffindor Lukenge in a grand procession.
"It's only six o'clock. Are Gryffindor wizards always this diligent?" she murmured suspiciously.
So far, the most diligent person she had met was Miss Granger, and even the Fat Lady thought Hermione should be in Ravenclaw instead of Gryffindor. It was a shame she ended up here.
Inside the dark Slytherin dormitory, Luke woke up around eight o'clock.
He hadn't been sleeping with Hermione lately because he was focused on Tom's diary. He had noticed something strange about it. No matter what he wrote these past few days, it wouldn't reply. Even the threat of "I'm going to throw you in the bathroom" didn't wake Tom.
Since today was a day off, Luke decided not to wear Slytherin's green robe. Instead, he put on a white shirt and a gray coat.
After smoothing his blond hair, Luke nodded in satisfaction. Going out like this, he figured he could charm many witches.
He had even heard from Ron that quite a few Gryffindor witches were approaching him specifically because of Luke, which made Ron think he had become a heartthrob too.
After getting ready, Luke glanced at the diary lying quietly in the drawer by his bed.
Why don't you tempt someone else? Luke thought as he reluctantly closed the drawer.
He was still waiting for Tom to wake up the Basilisk, but he didn't know when that would happen.
As for the damage done by the basilisk...
Luke looked at himself in the mirror, and the corners of his mouth twitched slightly.
Those were the only people he cared about.
After packing his things, he was ready to join Hermione in the Great Hall.
Inside the Hogwarts Great Hall, Hermione, who Luke was very familiar with, had been waiting for him with a book.
"Divination? Why do you want to learn that?"
As Luke approached, he noticed the book in Hermione's hand was about horoscopes, and he asked with some curiosity.
"I've read about prophecy in many books. Don't you think predicting the future is fascinating?"
Seeing Luke sit next to her, Hermione closed the book, ordered a cup of black tea, and placed it in front of him.
"Try this today."
She smiled and said.
"...Okay."
Luke twitched the corners of his mouth, giving up on ordering his usual chocolate milk.
"Two pumpkin pies and an omelet, thank you."
After a simple breakfast, Hermione looked puzzled.
"Where are Harry and Ron? It's almost ten o'clock."
"They were probably taken by Fred to set up shop."
Luke said after sipping the black tea.
He picked up Hermione's "Constellation Divination" book, recalling that it required talent.
After a quick glance, Luke gave up.
There were too many things to study in it, and the time spent was completely disproportionate to the reward.
If he had time to learn this, he'd rather go to the Forbidden Forest and catch a centaur to teach it on the spot.
At least the centaurs' predictions were accurate.
"Are we going to the library now or the Room of Requirement?"
Hermione turned the delicate ring on her finger, turned her face, and asked.
"Hermione, it's morning."
Luke reminded her.
"We might as well go see what Fred and the others are up to now."
"But... we haven't been to the Room of Requirement for days."
Hermione's tone was a little conflicted.
"We'll go tonight."
Luke was tired of the dark dormitory; he wanted to fall asleep watching the moonlight.
"Uh-huh!" Hermione nodded quickly. She had had enough of the silent dormitory.
After deciding, the two were ready to head to the lawn to find Fred's small shop.
There weren't enough rooms at Hogwarts for them to rent to set up the shop, so they had to find a spot on the lawn.
Upon reaching the lawn, Luke was suddenly taken aback.
He saw that an area near the Black Lake was crowded with little wizards.
Luke, who thought he would need to search for a while, laughed.
It seemed like today's harvest would be good.
Among the crowd, he even spotted Malfoy, Crabbe, and Goyle.
Because there were too many people, Luke and Hermione found a spot outside and waited.
Looking at the Black Lake, Luke used the Transfiguration Spell to turn a rock into a fishing rod and handed it to Hermione.
Then he transformed a piece of grass into an earthworm and hooked it.
"Can you catch fish like this?" Hermione couldn't help laughing.
"Try it, just in case," Luke chuckled.
He had heard that there were many magical creatures in the Black Lake, even merfolk.
"Mermaids?" Hermione tilted her head.
"It's merfolk, not mermaids," Luke corrected.
They aren't the same species, and the merfolk would be upset if they heard that.
Over time, the crowd around Fred's shop thinned out because the prepared card packs were all sold out.
But a small group of wizards stayed where Cedric and Harry faced off.
That's right, Cedric had joined the poker game.
He was determined to beat Harry today!
Luke threw a black, hideous-looking fish back into the lake, then got up and threw the fishing rod aside.
This Black Lake seems to be full of these strange magical creatures...
They had been catching that ugly black fish all afternoon.
Hermione was startled at first, but then she got used to it.
"Congratulations, Fred!" Luke walked over with a smile. Although Fred and George looked tired, they couldn't hide the smiles on their faces.
"Do you know how many Galleons we made?" Fred asked excitedly.
"Fifty in total!" Fred couldn't help but burst out laughing.
Luke smiled at the twins.
Fifty gold Galleons was not bad. It would definitely be more in the future.
"By the way, have you seen Ronald?" Harry, who had ended the duel, asked.
"I just saw him heading back to the dormitory early," George said, spreading his hands helplessly.
"Yeah..."
Inside Slytherin's dormitory, Luke was preparing to study in the Room of Requirement with Hermione tonight, so he came back early to get his books and alchemy notes.
But when he opened the drawer, he suddenly froze.
After a moment, a smile appeared on Luke's face.
Had Tom finally run away from home?
