Hearing the system notification, Shen Tian opened his eyes and was surprised by the changes around him.
Before, he was in an open space with only a thigh-high pillar in sight and surrounded by green grass with a dirt road. Now, he was inside a room. The pillar was replaced with a holographic screen as well.
[[ Notification: Host, this is the system room, which is located inside the base headquarter. You can exit the room and tour the building if you desire. ]]
"Ohh, then I'll go and tour my place now!"
With excitement in his heart, Shen Tian moved towards the door, which automatically opened for him as soon as he got close.
"Ohh, an automatic door!"
As soon as Shen Tian exited the room, he was in a hallway and a door was right on the other side.
[[ Notification: The room in front is your room, the master's bedroom. ]]
Shen Tian grinned and excitedly moved towards the door. This time, the door didn't move automatically, but it required him to turn the door knob to open.
This didn't dampen his enthusiasm, though. Opening the door, it was a spacious room, with a walk-in closet, a window, and a king-size bed with a side table. There's also a sofa and a table at the foot of the bed, facing a television set. It also has its own bathroom.
"Awesome!"
After thoroughly inspecting his room, Shen Tian exited and went down the hallway. At the end of the short hallway was a five-step stair. After the stair, Shen Tian saw two doors on the opposite side.
[[ Notification: These two rooms are the guest rooms. ]]
"Oh, shall I give them a quick look?"
Shen Tian didn't fully enter the rooms but only took a quick peek at them, trying to determine what's different from these guest rooms when compared to his master bedroom.
The guest rooms have two twin beds. They have no walk-in closet but they do have dressing tables and cabinets. They don't have the sofa and tv sets that his room has. They do have their own bathrooms, though.
"These are quite good for a guest room."
Shen Tian was quite impressed with the rooms. Seeing these so far, he can't help but have high expectations of what's in the rest of the base headquarters.
He toured the headquarters, which is more like a house for now since he saw that it has a living room, dining room, kitchen, and bathroom.
[[ Notification: Please, host, check at the back of the kitchen for the storage room. Your other rewards of 50 boxes of canned meat, 50 packs of instant noodles, 5 sacks of rice, 50 gallons of drinkable water, and 10 med kits are stored there. ]]
"Oh, so it has a storage room too?"
Shen Tian walked to the back of the kitchen and saw another door, which is for the storage room. Upon going inside, he saw the rewards that the system had mentioned.
Ten stacks of canned boxes were piped five boxes high. The packs of instant noodles were piled on top of them as well. On the other side, the gallons of water were neatly arranged in five rows.
Seeing the gallons of drinkable water, something clicked in Shen Tian's brain.
"Wait, since you've supplied me with drinkable water, does that mean that this house doesn't have a supply of water??"
With hurried footsteps, Shen Tian rushed back to the kitchen and turned on the water faucet. His heart was beating fast. Water is indispensable to his survival, after all!
His hanging heart fell back to his chest after seeing a steady stream of tap water gushing out of the faucet. Before he could breathe a sigh of relief, though, he heard the system's voice again.
[[ Notification: The headquarter is being supplied with water via the water tank outside. It can last for up to 10 days at most. The host will be required to establish a stable source of water in the future. Host, please work hard. ]]
Shen Tian rubbed his face roughly in frustration.
"It's okay, it's okay," he comforted himself, quite getting used to how the system dashes his hopes every single time. "At least, it can last for 10 days. I can find ways by then… I think."
Right then, he worried about another thing.
"System, how about the electrical power? Is it also limited?"
[[ Notification: The headquarter is solar powered. As long as it is not sunless for 24 hours, electrical power is guaranteed. ]]
"I guess that's fine."
Shen Tian went back to the storage room and determined what he would do with the items there. He decided to pull out some stocks of canned meat and instant noodles which he proceeded to place inside the kitchen cupboard. He also brought out a gallon of water and load it up on the water dispenser. As for the med kit, he stored two in the kitchen cupboard, two in the living room, and the rest are stored away in his bedroom.
