From the third story, it took only a few moments for the pair to reach the street below. All the girl Raven had tackled could do was wildly swing her arms around, cursing and screaming.
Raven, however, teleported right before they slammed into the ground.
As he did that, the player's head smashed into the stone, cracking open and spraying its' contents all around. All the NPCs near her screamed and panicked, calling for the guards.
In a few short moments, Raven quickly grabbed a throwing dagger, keeping track of the player right above him. He had teleported into an empty room right below.
Raven coated his throwing dagger with a poisonous, toxic aura, and then readied a powerful throw.

Stoop frantically looked around the room, his sword ready. His mind was racing, coming up with a plan.
'Well, that didn't go how we expected. It was cool though, but now we are going to wait a whole day before Laurel can play. Sucks to be her!'
by the time Laurel's body hit the ground, Stoop had backed up into a corner of the room, scanning his surroundings.
'Hmm. I thought he would have teleported before hitting the ground, but did he instead use her as a cushion? Would that even save him? Or maybe he teleported away, and is trying to escape? But the smart move would be to try and kill me here. If he reacted so quickly, he must know we can track hi-'
Suddenly, Stoop felt a searing pain. Looking down, he saw a gaping hole in his foot, the flesh around the wound slowly turning a sickly, black shade.
His eyes widened, and he tried to run towards the room's exit. However, the poison was quickly spreading, slowing him down.
'Fuck, he teleported below! And he got me with a throwing dagger! Shit, does that mean we got his Disciplines wrong?! Is his teleportation not a spell, but a perk? I have to war-'
Another throwing dagger hit his leg, and he collapsed to the ground.
He tried to get up, and even yell a warning. Yet, it was too late. All he could force out was a frail whimper.
Quickly, the poison spread throughout his body, paralyzing and killing Stoop.

The wooden floor of the old building was thin enough, so Raven was able to throw his dagger through the floor, and the daggers retained enough force to be able to kill his target.
Raven did not have direct line of sight, so he decided to use a new trick he had learned. He could expel his aura, and have it seep into his weapons.
Raven turned towards the room's entrance. There were several people in the building, and Raven had not yet figured out which one was the player.
'Now, I wonder. Could they track their allies as well as me? I don't know if their tracking ability has a limit. Then, even more importantly, will they stay and fight, or run away?'
As Raven was studying the movements of the several people in the building, the floor beneath him suddenly shook.
Raven wobbled a little, but still kept himself upright. Then, he grinned.
'Okay, that sounded exciting!'
Raven quickly ran towards a window in the room, and looked out.
All the buildings nearby had suddenly erupted in flames. Hundreds of people were panicking in the streets, many burning alive.
Raven could barely maintain a cool head after seeing this.
'What kind of power is this? This can't be from the person coming after me, right? A whole section of the town is in flames! No, this is probably a power of the person after me, it is too convenient for them. All the buildings surrounding here are on fire now! This could be more dangerous tha-'
Suddenly, the floor beneath Raven's feet exploded, flames spreading all throughout the room.
Raven barely reacted in time, quickly jumping away from the explosion. Shrapnel from the explosion cut into his gambeson, several large bits cutting into his body.
'What the fuck! What am I up against?!'
As soon as his feet touched the floor, Raven was sprinting away.
As he ran out of the room, more explosions of fire tore through the building around him. Raven had to constantly scan his surroundings, and was still barely dodging the fire and debris.
But, he had gained something.
As the other people were dying throughout the building, one person was staring directly at Raven's location.

Tara had watched as the player her team was stalking killed the creepy rapist. Then, she had watched as he killed both her colleagues. Now, she watched as he dodged her fireballs.
Her spell [Tracker] had been cast on him, which allowed her to always see his outline, even through walls.
She fired one fireball after the other, barely even putting a dent in the amount of Aura stored in her large core.
As she methodically cut off all roads of retreat for the player, she went over all the information she knew.
'He is certainly skilled. I expected those guys to at least put up a fight, but instead they got massacred! Still, my plan worked out in the end.'
'This player has never teleported more than twice in quick succession, always resting for a few minutes afterwards. That means his aura core must be tiny or small, if he even has one at all. Now, he has teleported twice, and used some sort of poison spell to take out Stoop. He must be running dry!'
She frowned. 'Well, that might not be true. He reacted quickly to our ambush, so he must have known we were following him. If that's the case, it is possible he might have been conservative with his aura...'
She watched as the player grew closer and closer, all other avenues cut off by her flames. 'It doesn't matter, though. I have the Aura advantage either way! If he tries to run, I can just follow and spread hellfire wherever he goes. If he fights, I can overpower him with overwhelming firepower! And, even if he could manage to escape...'

All throughout the week leading up to the Battle Royale, Tara had been diligently laying her traps. With all the time in the world, she could pour immense power into the traps; traps which could be sprung at any moment with just a thought.
'... if he manages to escape, all I have to do is keep springing traps near him until he perishes!'
She watched as he finally reached the bottom floor. Now, she didn't even need her spell to see him.
Grinning, she gathered up Aura in her fists, preparing two more fireballs.
'This game is awesome!'
