All around Raven, the world was being consumed by fire. Dark, angry flames devoured the old, dry wood. Already, parts of the building were collapsing, spreading debris and destruction.
The air around him was thick with a fiery aura, an aura which only grew denser as hundreds of people in the surrounding area slowly perished and died.
Now, Raven stared down the person responsible for the chaos surrounding him.
She was tall and stout, with a sharp and intimidating face. Her hair was dark red, and tied into a ponytail. She had tanned skin, and she was dressed in a patchwork of plate armor.
She gathered dense streams of Aura into her hands, quickly creating powerful fireballs.
Raven put his hands on his hips, smirking.
"I have to thank you! You gave me a bunch of easy kills, miss. It has only been a few minutes, and I will soon have four kills already!"
Her face turned fierce, and she glared at Raven.
"Tough talk little shit-stain! Let's see you back it u-"
Raven's dagger tore through her left arm, almost severing it.
Poison started spreading from the wound on her arm, her skin turning a grisly black color.
Raven rushed forward, his sword in hand. 'That's what you get for losing focus, lady!'
With explosive power, Raven quickly reached her, and readied his sword.
Then, the fiery aura in her left hand exploded, burning away her arm and the poison.
The aura in her right hand only grew stronger, which she launched with immense speed.
It exploded in between Raven and her, and Raven barely dodged out of the way.
Without pausing, she launched several more fireballs.
Raven was quickly put on the defensive, having to put all he had into dodging the fireballs.
'She is so quick! In less than a second, she burnt away her infected arm, and was still able to stop me with a fireball! And now, I can keep dodging the fireballs, but...'
Raven was able to dodge every fireball, but each one was still an explosion. Burning shrapnel from the blast was digging into Raven, wearing him down.
Raven grimaced. 'I don't know what will happen first; Will I be worn down, will she run out of aura, or...'
Another section of the building collapsed, as the fire ate away at the timber.
'... will this building collapse on us?'
Raven continued dodging, slowly getting used to the frantic pace. He could now look for openings, always keeping watch on his opponent's stance and movements.
'I can still keep going, and she doesn't look like she is going to run out of Aura anytime soon. That means this building has to get destroyed first! When that happens, will that give me an opening?'
Raven grinned. 'Maybe. If it does, I can't afford to waste it.'

Tara continued launching an endless barrage of fireballs, which had begun to put a dent in her vast reserves of Aura. At most, she expected she could continue for five minutes.
But before than, the building would definitely be destroyed!
'If that happens, his only chance is to teleport! And I am certain he has at least one more in him. I thought he had put his TP into Aura and Spell, but I was wrong. If that's the case, his teleportation must be a Perk. That means I can't predict when he will run out.'
More and more of the building had been consumed, with chunks of burning wood falling down, spreading even more destruction.
'His last chance will be to use the collapsing building to his advantage! When the building collapses, if I can predict where he will teleport, I can win!'
Much of the building was gone, by now. Very shortly, everything would fall apart.
***
As Raven was dodging, he noticed how close the building was to collapsing.
The fire had eaten away at much of the support structure, with exploding fireballs further damaging the building.
Raven smiled, and then waited.
Soon, he would get his chance.
'This has been a fun. Now, time for the endgame!'
Soon, loud snapping and creaking sounds could be heard. The building was crumpling, fiery wood speedily dropping down on their heads.
As the wood was just about to land on Tara, a fiery shockwave of burning Aura shot out from her body, flinging all the burning debris in her direction outwards.
Then, Raven disappeared.
Tara created a dense, powerful fireball, and had it explode behind her. The force of it shredded her back, almost killing her.
'Did I get him? I must have! I-'
Then, she felt as a blade was plunged into her chest, straight through her heart.
In the moment she had created the shockwave of Aura, her vision had been cut off.
That had allowed Raven to teleport in front of her.
Shrouding his sword in poisonous Aura, he stabbed her in the chest.
Her heart had been torn straight through, assuring her swift demise.
Raven slid her body off his sword, smiling as he watched the life quickly drain from her eyes.
'Looks like she tried to guess where I would teleport! Well, she guessed wrong~'

Soon, now, Tara would be dead. As her thoughts began to slow, a furious rage coursed through her body.
'Fucking bullshit! Of course he would teleport in front of me! Now my dumbass is going to be locked out of the game for a whole day! Did I seriously just waste a whole in-game wee-'
And then she realized.
Even if all she could do was think, there was still one last thing she could do.
With the last vestiges of her willpower, she poured all her remaining Aura into activating her Perk's ability.
In a moment, all her Aura was drained, as it was used to activate as many traps as she could.
One after the other, hundreds of fires erupted, emanating out from Tara's body. In an instant, a whole third of the Town of Starfein was in flames. Hellfire descended upon the citizens of Starfein, devouring thousands of innocent lives.
