"Fu*k," James complained loudly as he exited the portal, expressing his frustration at once again finding himself in the infinite white space.
To his surprise, the white space started to fill with blue glowing and pulsing lines, completely enveloping every inch of the area. As these blue lines approached James, they proceeded to cover his entire body too.
James stood frozen as the blue lines wrapped themselves around him, their glow intensifying with each passing second. As they traced intricate patterns over his skin, a strange sensation spread throughout his body. It was a mix of tingling and warmth, as though an invisible energy was coursing through him.
Suddenly, the lines converged and merged, forming a solid layer that encased James completely. He felt a strange weightlessness, as if he was floating in mid-air. The blue lines pulsated with a newfound intensity, their luminosity illuminating the space around him.
With a jolt, James realized that something extraordinary was happening. He could feel; it was as though his very essence was being altered. Thoughts, memories, and emotions rushed through his mind in a kaleidoscope of colors and images.
The memories were hazy, causing James to forget them as he experienced them. Gradually, the blue lines started to turn bleak and eventually disappeared entirely.
Once the blue lines vanished completely, the white space began to crack, prompting James to reflexively shut his eyes.
When James finally opened his eyes, he found himself out of the white space.
"James....James...you okay? You just spaced out for a while," Thor spoke.
"Huh?" James seemed confused for a second and then realized that he was still standing in the same position with his hand still on the Tesseract.
"It seems like just a few seconds passed," James concluded with relief.
Instead of answering Thor, he immediately opened his Information Panel to see if there were any significant changes. But he was disappointed to find that there were no changes at all. Everything was the same as before.
However, he knew one thing instinctively: he had to come into contact with all the Infinity Stones at least once. Just by touching the Tesseract, he felt a pull towards all the Infinity Stones. Though he didn't have any idea what would happen if he touched all the Infinity Stones, he still decided to give it a shot once he became a bit stronger.
"I definitely felt that something was changing, either in my body or my soul," James pondered what the Tesseract had actually done to him. He just hoped that it was not something harmful.
"I'm okay. I was just thinking about how I don't have a place to live now," James replied.
"Many people lost their homes," Steve said, looking at the almost destroyed Manhattan with its fallen buildings. The Stark Tower was the only one that was least damaged.
"You can come and live with me," Tony suggested.
"No, I will look for another apartment in Manhattan," James decided against living with Tony. Although he knew that Tony didn't mean anything bad, he just didn't like living under anyone else's roof.
"Captain, I have a request to ask of you. If you have the time, I would like to learn some fighting styles from you," James asked.
"Do you truly need them, though?" Steve asked, feeling a bit bewildered.
"Well, it doesn't hurt to learn," James smiled.
"I can also help you with that," Natasha intervened.
"Sure, the more the merrier," James said.
"Why don't you learn it in my Stark Tower until you get your apartment?" Tony quipped, his voice laced with that signature Stark charm. "Oh, and by the way, I've got something good to give you."
"Works for me," James then looked at Steve and Natasha for their confirmation. They both nodded their head, not minding at all.
"Thor what about you?" James questioned.
"I will be back as soon as I handle all the matters related to Tesseract and Loki," Thor answered.
As they conversed, Bruce, who had transformed back from the Hulk, walked towards them.
"Bruce, what plans do you have?" Natasha asked him.
"Banner, why don't you come with me? I may need your help with a few things," Tony said. "Hey, I have an idea. I am going to turn the Stark Tower into the official headquarters for us Avengers," Tony beamed.
"How about we talk it over a plate of Shawarma," James was famished after that incident with Tesseract.
Everyone nodded in agreement and went to a nearby Hotel popular for Shwarama outside the area of the destruction caused by the Chitauri Army.
Having finished their meal, they returned to Stark Tower where they found Fury waiting for them. Thor, Natasha, and Clint went back with him to the Helicarrier. Natasha promised to return after completing a few formalities and obtaining approval for leave. The Tesseract and the sceptre were handed over to Thor, who assured them he would return promptly from Asgard.
As they left, Tony along with Steve James and Bruce, headed to the Stark Tower.

Tony provided rooms for everyone to rest in order to alleviate the fatigue from the war.
James, who was lying in bed, was thinking about his fight with Ebony and the Chitauri army.
'My chakra control is too poor. From watching the anime, I know how vast the chakra of a three-tailed beast is. But due to my poor control, it gets exhausted too quickly. Although the chakra recovery three times a day helps me a lot, it's not a long-term solution. I should add chakra training to my schedule after training with Steve and Natasha,' James thought.
Even though the angel had told him that he could only use the chakra for the abilities she mentioned, James still tried to create the Rasengan, as it was a chakra manipulation and not a jutsu. But to his disappointment, he found out that he was unable to do so. From the experiments he conducted, he had concluded that he could only do the chakra training in order to increase his chakra control.
Pondering for a while, he finally drifted off to sleep after a long day of events.
