Max and I were walking on the hallway when we bumped into Ares and Blake. Ares pulled me away from Max and started asking me lots of questions. "Are you alright? What are you doing with him and where were you? We've been looking everywhere for you."
I chuckled. He was worrying too much and he looked adorable. "Calm down. I am alright. Max and I have solve whatever disputes we had. We're cool now and I was in the library. I went to get a book to solve a math problem."
Ares clenched his fist 'Damn it, if both of them gets more close Max and Axel will soon find out.' "Amelia, have you had lunch? I bought some sweet dishes, you can come eat it."
Amelia smiled and nodded and waved at Max. "Thanks again and see you after class." Then three of them left leaving Max.
When school ended. Ares and Blake waited for Amelia by the class door. Amelia was startled when she saw them.
"Oh, you guys scared me. What are you doing here?" Amelia asked curiously. "We came here so we can drop you off at the Cafe. Let's go."
Amelia halted. Max already said he was going to drop her off at the Cafe after school. "Sorry but Max already offered to drop me off." Just then Max and Axel came.
Max looked at her and said "Are you ready to go?" Amelia nodded and was about to leave when Axel held her hand. "Amelia wait, I want to ask if you are free this weekend."
Amelia sighed. She had practice with the children for the upcoming dance contest. "Sorry but I am practicing with the children for an upcoming dance contest. I am a dance teacher."
Axel scoofed. "So rabbit is a waitress and dance teacher. You also work at an orphanage and still go to school. Are you a machine or something?"
I glared at him. "Do you have a problem with it? At least I do something useful rather than just wasting my time sleeping in libraries and barging into people houses at midnight. You almost killed me that day you know." I covered my mouth when I realized what I said. 'oops, I just said that at a fit of rage but I was so pissed. How can he judge me like that? How does he even know about the places I work?'
Ares held me by the shoulders. I could feel he was really angry and was waiting for me to explain. "Amelia, what do you mean by that? Have he tried to hurt you before?"
I held his hands "Don't worry, we have settled all of this. He already apologized. Anyways I can't be late for work."
"Wait." Ares called. "Can you tell me the address of the dance studio? I want to come by someday ." Amelia was stunned and then she smiled and brought out a piece of paper and a pen to write the address since she doesn't have a phone to send a text. Then she gave it to him.
" Here, this is the address. If you are busy you don't have to come." Ares collected it and smiled at her saying "I will definitely be there."
After that, Amelia followed Max to the car. Axel turned to look at Ares. "Why are you doing this?" Axel said glaring at Ares. "What do you mean? She is my friend. Can't I spend time with a friend?" He grinned as he said that.
Axel scoofed. "I know you well. There must be something you want from her and I will soon find out what it is. Even though there is nothing special about her and there is no magic emitting from her at all, you are still interested in her. My guess is that she is related to the prophecy. Max told me she was in the same school where they suspected the one in the prophecy would be and she is the only one here in this place too. That's the only reason we came here. If you are not going to tell me then I will have to find out myself. I also want to play your little game." Axel said with a grin on his face and went after Max and Amelia leaving Ares fuming.
Outside the school, Amelia stopped when she noticed Axel was still with them. "Max, is he going too?"
Max looked at Axel and then to Amelia. "Yes, he is." Ares smirked "Do you have a problem with it rabbit?" Amelia turned to him, fuming. "I told you, stop calling me that. My name is Amelia. Don't you get it?"
Max quickly interfered. "Ok now, let's get going. You will be late for work if you continue arguing with each other."
Amelia knew Max was right and quietly entered the car. While looking at Axel angrily "Hmph!!!".
Amelia and Max chatted all the way to the Cafe. Axel tried to control himself. He was really pissed but he had to control himself so he could find out what Ares was hiding.
When they finally got to the Cafe, Amelia came out of the car. "Thank you, I will be going now." Amelia entered the Cafe and wore her apron. She was busy attending to the customers when she saw Axel walk in.
When she was through serving the customers, she walked over to him. "What are you doing here?" Axel went over to a table and sat down. "Is this how you treat your customers here? I came here to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee but you are saying it as if I am not allowed to."
Just then the manager came. "What is going on here?" Axel looked at the manager "You must be the manager. Is this how you treat your customers here? I came in here and your employee says I am not allowed to drink a coffee."
Amelia jolted. "S-Sir, don't believe what he's saying. He is clearly lying to you. I didn't say any of that."
Axel brought out a stack of cash and turned to the manager. "So employee here calls me a liar. I better spend my money on another Cafe then. Thier customer service is probably better than this one." Alex stood up, ready to leave.
The manager began to plead with him. "Please sir, I am begging on this girl behalf. I don't know what has gotten into her. She's not always like this. I promise we won't disappoint you again. I can even fire her if you would prefer it."
I look at the manager in shock. I knew he was greedy but I have work for him for two years and he is taking this idiot's side.
"No need for that but I will forgive her if she serves me well." He looked at me and grinned. 'oh he was such a sly'. The manager turned to me.
"You this girl. Apologize right now. If you don't I will fire you on the spot." I clenched my fist. 'damn, I can't get fired just because of him. I will have to apologize even though I will regret it for the rest of my life.'
"I apologize for my rude behavior, I won't repeat the same mistake again. What can I do for you?" Axel smiled and ordered a drink. Then he gave the manager the cash and sat down.
I reluctantly went to get his drink. I even planned on adding something to it but I can't risk my job. After that he sat down there for hours. I ignored him and continued to do my job.
Finally, my shift was over and it was time to head to the orphanage. I went out of the cafe and also saw Axel come out. He started walking over to me. "Hi rabbit."
I totally ignored him. If I opened my mouth I might say something I will regret later. "So you are not going to say anything. Well, I will just ask you. Let me drop you off at the orphanage."
That was the last straw. After all what he did. Oh no. "You must be crazy if you think I am going to accept your offer. You framed me and almost got me fired. Go and look for someone else to give a ride."
Axel stopped me and held out his phone. "I still have the manager's number." I scoofed. "We are not at the Cafe right now genius." His smile widened into a devilish grin.
"If you still want to keep that job, then hop into the car like a good bunny and let me give you a ride to the orphanage. Okay? Moreover It is my way of saying sorry." of course I knew he wouldn't hurt or kidnap me but I suddenly felt goosebumps when he spoke.
"Fine, I will enter but only because I don't want to keep speaking and seeing your annoying face. When you drop me. You will get lost." He opened the door to his car. "It's a deal." I went in and we drove off to the orphanage.
