Flat-Brim Samurai Chapter 17

Switching to Cias's time in the wild (The time going back to when HE first started). He took out his spear as soon as he got up and was ready to start training. He trained with his spear movements for about an hour and then went to do some battle training, fighting the animals in the forest. Using Art: Ki blade to encase his wooden spear with ki he slashed through his opponents like butter. Being the more technical of the two his movements were indeed more smooth. Not letting even a single drop of blood fall upon him, as if dancing through the liquid. He ended the day with 3 wolves, 2 bunnies and 5 squirrels. He decided that a few days of not hunting would be perfectly good knowing that he already had a lot of food to eat and digest.

Cias, unlike Apollo, went out foraging a lot more than him to get some berries and good greens in order to get his fiber up. Cias felt at home in all this silence, because he thought it was nice to be traveling in peace without anyone else around. Cias said ,"I feel so free without anyone telling me what to do, is this what freedom feels like?" He then had a thought, what if he developed his own arts and techniques in the wilderness? So he started developing his own style of testing a technique and then adjusting it to make it more useful. He started thinking of different ways to use his ki in order to further master himself.

He trained like that for a few hours and then saw that the sun was going down signaling his time to start sleeping. Cias's shelter was a little bigger than Apollo's and yet it was even more useful and resourceful. His bed was a whole lot more thought out so it was a lot more comfy. If you get the gist of it, anything that Apollo did, Cias usually did it with more precision. While Cias was asleep, he had a thought about if he combined his Art: Spear Thrust with his Art: Bolt to create a whole Art that could pierce through most anything. He got up with vigor to try this out after eating breakfast. Fully energized with enthusiasm he got in his stance to do spear thrust and was ready to send out his ki in a bolt. The first time the ki exploded in his face and sent him hurtling back into a tree. ,"ACK!!!" he screamed, using Art: Reinforce at the last second to save himself from serious injury. After recovering, he tried again, failing again but was starting to get the gist of it after a while.

And finally after countless attempts he had done it once… He went into his Spear Thrust stance and thrust forward sending out the ki Bolt that had ripped it's way through three trees in a row causing them to be destroyed and splinter. Cias stated right after ,"Holy shit, that was it!!!" as he looked at the terrain that he just terraformed. The surface was parted around the ki blast and the area around himself for about 3 meters was also parted in a circular kind of divot. The birds around him were running away along with the animals. After that, he was extremely tired and decided that that was enough for the day. He would then go on to train this art all of the time and called it Art: Spear Bolt.

This art was the thing that would later make him the top dog in the forest but now was just incredible to have. He breathed a sigh of relief, finally being able to do it with ease. This meant that he was able to do a move that could shoot out at 4x the speed of sound with his current amount of energy. Imagining his power in the future was unfathomable to him, if he was this strong now, what would he be able to do in the future and even at the peak of his power. As he got stronger day by day the secrets to perfect technique got closer and closer to him. What he had gained from this short period had been an exponential boost to his strength, speed and intelligence. Training stuff like cardio, calisthenics, weights, technique and battle training had hardened him even further causing a new layer of "enlightenment" in himself. Each time a person betters themselves for the future they will most always gain a new sense of self and unity with everything around them, and Cias had just broken through another layer of this, impressing even himself with the breakthrough. But this journey was far from over and was only one of the many stages to "True Enlightenment".
