Wait, what? what the hell is going on suddenly, both my health and energy bars were completely full, and the weird part was that I only managed to absorb them partially. So, how much health and energy does this thing actually possess?
The Monkey Kong looked kind of pissed, is it because I stole its Health and Energy? Then the Monkey Kong let out a powerful roar and charged at me once more.
*Roar*
"Skill Share - Acceleration"
"Acceleration"
"Acceleration"
"Acceleration"
"Acceleration"
"Acceleration"
After successfully using Acceleration six times, I had become incredibly fast. If I recall correctly, I could absorb about 10% of my enemy's health and energy every time I use the skill Soul Steal.
Even if I managed to partially absorb around 5%, I could still use the Soul Steal skill about twenty times to drain all of his health and energy.
What's more, even if using Soul Steal cost me roughly a thousand energy, I could easily replenish it by stealing them from Monkey Kong. So, I made up my mind and decided to use the Soul Steal skill once again.
"Soul Steal."
I activated the skill, but unexpectedly, the Status Screen appeared – except this time, it was red instead of its usual light blue.
Warning: Your health and energy are already full; you cannot steal anymore from the enemy.
Wait what? I can't use Soul Steal when my health and energy are already full? Seriously, there goes my plan to defeat Monkey Kong. As I was trying to figure out my next move, the Monkey Kong charged at me again, yelling, "Super Monkey Fist."
Once again, a huge spectral monkey materialized behind the Monkey Kong, and it lunged at me. Come on, can I get a moment to think? I should try some defensive skills – I never had the chance to use them before. I thought that and activated the skills
"Blood Shield."
"Skill Share - Alloy Body."
A shield made of blood absorbed the powerful punch from the spectral monkey, which was strong enough to create a small dent in the ground. The Blood Shield managed to block it completely, but it shattered like glass into many pieces. Still, the Monkey Kong didn't stop attacking; it kept striking me with its fists. At that moment, I took the chance to catch its fists with my own.
Blood Shield was an incredible defensive skill, that's for sure. But what astonished me even more was Alloy Body. As soon as I activated the skill, a surge of energy coursed through my entire body. Now, my usual height is around 1.55 meters (approximately 5.11 feet), but after using the skill, I grew to a towering 2.43 meters (approximately 8 feet). And that's not all – muscles were bulging from every part of my body.
The most astonishing part? Despite this drastic change, my clothes still fit perfectly. Why? Well, it's plot armor, that's why. It's almost like that guy who transforms whenever he gets angry. With Alloy Body activated, Monkey Kong looked at me, a mix of fear and surprise in its eyes.
"It's massacre time," I declared, delivering a punch to Monkey Kong's face with all my might, following it up with, "This is my punch line."
Monkey Kong went airborne, smashing through nearly three trees before finally crashing into the fourth. It was definitely hurt, but it managed to get back up, shaking its head and then charged at me once again. Damn! This thing is incredibly resilient.
Monkey Kong charged at me, launching a flurry of punches, and I responded with a flurry of my own punches.
"Fura fura fura fura fura fura," it was saying something – was this? is it a battle cry? If it was, then I needed to have my own to make it more dramatic. Ahem... what I meant to say was, to make it more epic.
"Muda muda muda muda muda muda" (Muda means useless in Japanese), I countered it with my own battle cry while also taking the chance to insult it.
Then, there it was – an opening. I twisted my body and delivered a powerful uppercut to Monkey Kong. It went soaring through the air again and crashed into a tree. But just like before, it got back up as if nothing had happened.
What the hell is wrong with this thing? How on earth is it still standing after enduring all these attacks? I can only think of two possibilities either my level is too low while Monkey Kong's level is at fifty or the Monkey Kong has an unnatural resilance.
If that's the case what am I supposed to do? How can I defeat this thing? Should I just run away? I don't think I can defeat this thing even with Truck-Kun's help because just like me Truck-Kun's level is also low.
While I was thinking those things Monkey Kong once more, charged at me with its mouth wide open and yelling in anger. I needed to find a way to stop it and hit it hard. Then, I got a sudden idea as I saw it running towards me with its mouth open.
Hold on, if hitting it from the outside isn't working, maybe I should attack it from the inside. I could use the biological weapon I created using the 'Book of Culinary Kills' – the 'Final Fried Rice.' One bite of it could knock out even the strongest opponents. I had saved the remaining Fried Rice in my inventory as a secret weapon for tough fights. However, I never thought I'd have to use it so soon.
As the Monkey Kong charged at me, I waited until it was almost very close to me. Swiftly dodging its attack, I got close to it and pretended to throw something with my hand, saying, "I'm gonna put some dirt in your eye," and activated my skill.
"Pocket Sand"
When I spoke those words, sand flew out of my hand and struck the Monkey Kong right in the eye. It started to scream, holding onto its eyes in pain. Now was the moment. I reached into my Inventory and grabbed the Final Fried Rice, then forcefully shoved it into the Monkey Kong's mouth with all my might while saying, "Eat This".
*Ahaaaa*
The Monkey Kong let out a loud scream and collapsed to the ground with a heavy thud.
*Thud*
*Huff Huff Huff*
Unknowingly, I found myself gasping for air, likely due to the toll of what I had just been through – mentally and physically drained. Exhausted, I slumped down near a tree, attempting to catch my breath. I glanced over at Monkey Kong; it lay on the ground, foam at its mouth.
I was really surprised by how powerful the Final Fried Rice was. Did I accidentally discover something amazing without realizing it? It's like the Pocket Sand – weird but strong. Even though they might not have a lot of strength, they're versatile and effective.
I'm really curious about what the other recipes can do. It gets me excited, but I also feel bad about using them on people later. If I remember correctly, there were a couple more recipes like Nightmare Nachos and Paralysis Pizza.
I wonder, does Paralysis Pizza actually paralyze opponents as the name suggests? And Nightmare Nachos – just thinking about it gives me chills. I have no idea what it does, but it sounds pretty scary.
When I was thinking about it I suddenly heard something, – it was like a piece of music.
The music surged like a storm of determination, each note echoing the warriors' courage and summoning them to battle. It matched the battle's intensity, a symphony of unwavering resolve that seemed woven into the very fabric of their struggle. Then, abruptly, the music transformed, and a charged silence filled the air—an electrifying calm before their imminent victory, a moment heavy with the promise of conquest.
Wait, it's almost as if a, "Why do I hear a more intense version of the boss music?" moment. Suddenly, a chill ran down my spine. I stared at where the Monkey Kong had been a moment ago. It stood up and was just standing there menacingly. Goddammit! I knew it was a phase two, how did I not notice the Monkey Kong?
Suddenly the Status Screen popped for whatever reason.
*Warning: Because of the Biological weapon Monkey Kong got a few new skills.*
Poison Resistance
Bio Weapon Resistance
What? The Monkey Kong got two new skills just by eating the Final Fried Rice. And why do these skills sound so ominous? Would I also get these skills if I ate the Final Fried Rice? But hold on, this creature is way too tough. If I eat it, I'm pretty sure I might die after just a few bites.
*Roar*
Then, I heard a scary roar. And suddenly, the Status Screen popped up again.
Warning: Monkey Kong went Ape Shit Crazy
"What the Fuc-"
Before I could finish my sentence, something hit me and sent me flying into the air, crashing into a tree.
