It's been an hour, and we're still locked in the same struggle, each of us trying to overpower the other. There's been no progress whatsoever. Then, out of nowhere, Monkey Kong began to speak about something.
"You have killed my Brethren in order to avenge them and to get justice for them I will make sure to kill you, my brethren Everyone please share your energy with me", With determination, it spoke, rallying its allies.
Oh no… he's using the power of Love and Friendship! And that's not all – he's even absorbing energy from the other monkeys. Wait, absorbing? Why don't I do that too? I've made up my mind to use my skills.
"Soul Steal"
I activated the skill, and suddenly, a surge of energy coursed through me, erasing all my pain and fatigue as if they had never existed. I thought that by stealing his Health and Energy, he would weaken significantly, especially since he was already quite weakened to begin with.
But I was wrong. He continued to stand tall, absorbing energies from the other monkeys around him. Not only that, but his attacks grew stronger, overpowering my own and pushing them back with increasing force.
I'm in a tough spot. He's become so strong all of a sudden. I'm unsure of my next move. If I attack using a different attack, his attack will strike me. Maybe I can use a ranged attack while using 'Holy Shit' simultaneously? But wait, my hands are full; I can't throw the axe.
In the midst of my thoughts, a bright light appeared above my head, like a light bulb switched on. I saw a large firefly behind it, hovering above me. What's this firefly up to?
Just as I was having that thought, a brilliant idea struck me – Eureka! I do possess a ranged skill apart from axe throwing, or rather, the Bloody Axe does. But that's not the point. While I was pondering this, Monkey Kong suddenly started shouting,
"With the power of the love of my fallen brethren and the power of friendship from those who are still alive, I will kill you!"
As he uttered these words, his attack intensified even further, pushing me back with an overwhelming force.
Then I countered Monkey Kong with my own words, "Yes yes, love and friendship are fine, but how about dealing with this sneak attack first?" I said this and activated my skill repeatedly.
"Blood Spikes"
"Blood Spikes"
"Blood Spikes"
"Blood Spikes"
"Blood Spikes"
After speaking those words, five big spikes made of blood appeared in the air above me. Within moments, I sent those spikes flying toward Monkey Kong. They hit him directly, piercing his body in several places. He cried out in pain and fell to his knees.
*Aaaargh!*
And there's more – my surprise attack landed as a critical hit, causing Monkey Kong's assault to falter. This was my chance to turn the tables. With all my determination, I yelled the name of my attack again.
"Hooo lyyy shitttttt"
My counter-attack not only pushed back Monkey Kong's assault but also struck him directly, causing him to cry out in pain.
*Aaaargh!*
After a few minutes, the screaming stopped and I looked at the spot where Monkey Kong used to be there was nothing but smoke, did I get him?
Feeling completely drained from the battle, I slumped to the ground. Monkey Kong was a very strong foe to defeat, wait a minute did he just vaporize? I once again looked at the spot where Monkey King used to be, Surprisingly, his lifeless body remained, and he had reverted from his Super Monkey Kong form to his normal state.
Unfortunately, he didn't get vaporized. Then the Bloody Axe Rex started to drain all his blood. Now that I think about it, after the first hundred kills, the axe still keeps absorbing the blood of enemies. I've collected around four hundred blood points from various enemies, but I'm not sure how to access that skill page again.
The reason I called it Bloody Axe Rex is because I don't want to call it Axe of question marks that sound weird and honestly the name Bloody Axe Rex suits it better.
When I was thinking about it the Status screen suddenly popped up.

*You have obtained a Scarce Candy*
Whoa! That was a lot of notifications, when it said one of Monkey Kong's skills I thought that I could choose one of its skills but it turns out that it would be given to me at random. And that's not all I have leveled up to three times. Also, I've leveled up three times, which is a big deal considering how many monsters I've taken down.
That's not all I also got a lot of drops as well, I know what this Monkey Kong's Paw and Monkey Kong's Tail are and I guess this Large Energy Stone is well a large version of the normal energy stone but what's this Scarce Candy thing?
I took it out and it looked like a normal candy wrapped in a purple wrapper. Hmm… it looks very normal, but I don't think that the Monkey Kong will have something like a normal candy with him, should I use Appraisal on it?
"Appraisal"
Scarce Candy
A candy that is packed with energy. When consumed, it will instantly raise the level of a single SumMon by one.
What! This thing can instantly increase my summon's level by one. This is really awesome. I can probably use this on Truck-Kun in a pinch. But why does it look so simple? And Truck-Kun doesn't even have a mouth to eat this.
Well, whatever. I'll just put this in the storage for now. Should I check out the new skill I got from Monkey Kong? Once again, I used my appraisal skill to appraise the new skill.
"Appraisal"
Overdrive MK I
The Overdrive skill has been unlocked, starting at its initial stage named "Overdrive MK I." This starting level grants access to the White Tier, resulting in a 10X increase in power temporarily.
Effect: Upon activation, the Overdrive skill multiplies the user's power level by a factor of 10 temporarily, providing a significant advantage in various situations.
As the user's mastery of the skill advances, they will progress through different tiers, each represented by a color. These mastery tiers correspond to varying levels of power multiplication. The skill's name will evolve alongside the mastery tiers. The journey reaches its peak with Overdrive MK X, allowing the user to access a powerful 100 times increase in power.
Mastery Levels and Multipliers by Color:
Overdrive MK I (10X) - White: Makes you 10 times stronger, giving you an edge in different situations.
Overdrive MK II (20X) - Red: Boosts your power by 20 times, showing real improvement in your abilities.
Overdrive MK III (30X) - Orange: Raises your power by 30 times, making you significantly stronger.
Overdrive MK IV (40X) - Yellow: Multiplies your power by 40, showing great progress.
Overdrive MK V (50X) - Green: Amps up your power 50 times, proving your skill and strength.
Overdrive MK VI (60X) - Blue: Gives you 60 times more power, signifying your control over energy.
Overdrive MK VII (70X) - Indigo: Increases your power by 70 times, highlighting your mastery.
Overdrive MK VIII (80X) - Violet: Multiplies your power by 80, showcasing your remarkable strength.
Overdrive MK IX (90X) - Black: Makes you 90 times more powerful, reaching legendary levels.
Overdrive MK X (100X) - Silver: Elevates your power by a massive 100 times, representing the ultimate mastery.
While Overdrive MK I-X can make you immensely powerful, it's important to note that using it too much can strain your body and energy. However, this strain lessens as you progress through the mastery tiers, allowing you to handle the power more effectively.
Note: For certain races, utilizing this skill might lead to changes in appearance. For instance, hair or fur color could alter based on one's mastery of this skill and the current tier. However, it's important to note that not all races are affected by this phenomenon.
Energy: Depends on the level
Proficiency: 0%
Wh-whats this? This thing is really awesome if that's not all I can temporarily increase my overall power by different multipliers it's a little shame that I can only multiply my power by ten for now but if I keep using this I can basically double my overall power later.
Is this the skill that the Monkey Kong used earlier? If going by the color it increases its power by around 40%. That's why it was very hard to kill, did I just hit the Jackpot? Instead of all the skills the Monkey King had I got this cheat skill instead of something like poison resistance. When I was thinking about these things the Status Screen popped up for some reason and displayed some texts.
