Bleed had appeared unexpectedly at Mr. Kitagawa's door. Being a member of the Antonov support groups, Bleed had given his utmost allegiance to Antonov and Mr. Kitagawa. That is if he wanted to.
"Oh, this? Just a little scratch."
Said Bleed as he touched his face.
"Why are you here, Bleed? Aren't you supposed to be in that military base? And what about the others?"
Mr. Kitagawa said, full of confusion and shock.
Bleed looked at the ground. He was quiet for a few seconds. Mr. Kitagawa and his colleague looked at Bleed with inquisitive eyes. They knew that something bad had happened. Bleed then raised his head.
"We had a little incident. That's all. Let's continue from where we left off."
Bleed said as he walked over to a rifle in the armory and grabbed it.
"Look at yourself! You are in no condition to fight! And you still haven't told us what happened to your comrades or the mission!"
Said the man accompanying Mr. Kitagawa.
Bleed turned around and faced the man.
"AS I SAID. We had a little incident. My "comrades" are fucking dead. But I'm going to fix this. Why don't you help me, Genzo? You know how to hunt people. You were a hitman, right?"
Bleed said in a strong tone.
The man who accompanied Mr. Kitagawa was revealed to be no other than Genzo Inoji, a well-known hitman who was an expert in carrying out assassinations. He had been recruited as an Antonov supporter and became Mr. Kitagawa's bodyguard. He had gotten older, so he wasn't the same as when he was young.
"You know I have to protect Mr. Kitagawa. Whatever happened, you better fix it. And I'd check those burns on your body, they look serious."
Responded Genzo.
Mr. Kitagawa didn't know what happened during that mission, but Bleed refused to elaborate. Why he mentioned that his comrades were dead or why he was full of burns and in ragged clothes was a mystery to him. Yet, by looking at Bleed, he knew something had happened, and Bleed blamed himself. Mr. Kitagawa knew that one of the objectives of the mission was to get information on the War-Knight program and to find a former member of Bleed's gang who was apparently a highly experienced fighter. Could Bleed have been caught by the guards outside the base? It was impossible since no reports were made through the base's radio communications or through any type of database, according to Antonov spies.
Bleed grabbed a rifle, some ammunition, a bulletproof vest, grenades, and a facemask. The facemask was a Russian helmet which had a metal mask protecting the face. Bleed started walking away, towards the exit of the bunker. He had a look that would scare anyone from stopping him.
"Bleed. Whatever you do, don't get us caught or killed. And don't yourself get caught or killed. That's an order."
Shouted Mr. Kitagawa at Bleed.
Bleed looked at Mr. Kitagawa by turning his head a little.
"I'll be playing by my rules now. So don't try to stop me."
After Bleed responded, he climbed through the hatch and left the bunker.
Mr. Kitagawa and Genzo knew they couldn't stop him. He was a valuable asset to them, but he was a danger. He could easily get them caught, because of his sudden carelessness.
Nonetheless, they were both clueless about why Bleed had come to the bunker and what had happened to his comrades.
"Tell the others to watch out for Bleed. Something snapped inside him."
Mr. Kitagawa ordered Genzo.
"Got it."
What had happened to Bleed, or what he was going to do, was a secret that would be revealed later…
