"Niko, quick! Get the key from my pocket!" I ordered Niko when we reached my apartment.
We were both gasping for air from the tiredness of carrying the man I bumped across the streets down the alley to my apartment.
Niko rushed to get the key from my pocket and opened the door.
"Heurue, can't we just take him to the hospital?" Niko suggested worriedly, but he immediately shut up when I shot him back a scary look.
"Hey, you're not dead yet. Cooperate and be less of a burden!" I complained to the guy as Niko opened the door, and we quickly entered the apartment.
Niko hastily removed our things from the table and carefully laid the guy down.
"Hey! Wake up! Keep your senses up; we're going to treat you!" I shouted while slapping the guy hard on his face before searching his pockets to see his identity.
"Please, please take me to the hospital," he uttered in his hoarse voice.
"Shut up! Save your energy!" I said back to him and pushed him to lie down again.
I then stopped searching when I saw an engraved name on a shackle tied around his left leg.
"Nick?" I gasped and shifted my gaze back to his face again.
Is he the same person I met at the medical union event? He looked very different.
"Hey, we should start aiding him before he loses a lot of blood," Niko reminded me while putting a small pillow under Nick's head.
"I know, I know," I panted as my sweat dropped profusely on my face, "Nick? Relax, ok? I'll mend you up; when you stabilize, then we'll have you fetched up to the hospital," I tried assuring him, then started tearing his shirt to treat his wound.
"Just bring me…to the hospital," Nick tried to stand up, but he was too weak.
"Gosh! I can't take this. Please don't die on us!" Niko said, trembling as he looked back and forth at me and Nick.
"Shut it, Niko. Get all the things needed to clean his wounds. We have to mend his wound to stop the bleeding! The cut is too deep!" I yelled to Niko, who was in too much panic already.
"I'm dying!" Nick exclaimed.
"Shut up!" I scolded him nervously.
Niko rushed to our room and was able to get back out immediately, setting up the things we needed on the table right away, and began treating Nick to stop the bleeding.
"Ahhh, just kill me!" Nick screamed in pain before passing out.
"You'll be fine!" Niko assured him as all of us sweated coldly.
"Do CPR!" I yelled to Niko while I stitched up Nick's wound.
Niko gave Nick CPR, but he wouldn't respond, and he wouldn't regain consciousness.
"Oh no. He won't wake up, Heureu!" Niko shouted, stomping his feet badly in tension.
I stopped for a moment to breathe and think. I scanned Nick's situation and checked his pulse.
"You take the stitching! And I'll do the CPR!" I ordered Niko.
I was trained to mend wounds not just as a nurse but through my years of training in the assassin's organization.
But even though I had already given him several CPRs, Nick wasn't responding. His pulse was getting weaker.
What a loser!
I survived a lot of gunshot wounds, even the deepest cuts from melee attacks.
"I think I'll just have to do it!" I said while letting out a few sighs as I stared at Nick's lifeless body.
I could just let him die, but I couldn't.
There was a part of me that wanted to keep him. I was once as weak as him.
"Heureu! Don't tell me!" Niko hushed in disbelief while smiling foolishly.
"Here goes nothing!" I let out a deep breath.
I closed my eyes for a few seconds, took a deeper breath, climbed up on the table, and straddled Nick.
I lowered my gaze and bent down to kiss him.
Slowly, I moved my lips, then shifted into an aggressive phase.
"Take it easy; you're enjoying it." Niko panicked. He even stopped sewing in excitement.
After two minutes, Nick responded to my kisses. He then held my hair and tightened our kiss.
His lips were familiar! Is he the same Nick back at the event?
His breath and soft moans were giving me something strange.
I should just stop! I only want William.
"Ok! You are awake!" I said after letting go of the kiss and teasingly looking at Nick.
We were both gasping for air. That was crazy. If he was the same Nick from the event, then we kissed again.
I slowly moved away from his top, hopped off the table, and smirked mischievously as he got a boner.
He was such a loser!
"You are something!" Niko said flirtatiously.
"Finish up immediately and call for an ambulance." I tapped Niko's shoulder while wiping my lips.
Nick's pulse went stable and I could see him satisfied with the kiss.
It took more than half an hour before the ambulance arrived at my apartment.
"Take care of him. I called to inform Mr. Villafuerte, so he'll be fine!" I told the two men who fetched Nick with an ambulance.
After the ambulance left, I changed my clothes and went straight to the fortune teller I used to visit.
I might be good at combat, but I lack intelligence in tech stuff. So, hacking into people's identities was too hard for me. Besides, my father forbade me to look after the information about the person who hit us four years ago.
Niko came with me. He didn't want to be left alone in the apartment with all the blood and mess in the living area.
"Good evening, Hilda," I called to the middle-aged woman who was preparing to close her shop.
"Oh, Heureu, you are here again, young lady?" Hilda snapped at me.
"I was hoping that my fate had changed!" I sounded sarcastic.
"You kept asking me about your fate, but you are always skeptical," Hilda said, shaking her head, and then asked me to sit on the chair in front of a red desk.
Five large, dark candles light up her little shop. The aura was convincing enough for people to seek her lies.
"Give me a good guess," I said to her while I looked at her face intently.
Hilda took my palm and smiled very widely.
"Gosh, you've found what you're looking for!" Hilda said, smiling.
"Okay, I hope it's true," I said and withdrew my hand from her.
I stood up and handed over some cash.
"Look, young lady, meeting someone is always up to your fate. If it's about time, then it'll happen," Hilda said and hastily closed her shop in front of us. "Go home now!"
"So, are you satisfied now? How much longer and how much money are you willing to waste asking that fake fortune teller?" Niko sounded so irritated.
"Even if it takes me another four years, I will not stop just to see the people who ruined our lives." I smiled bitterly.
If it hadn't been for that person who tried to hit me, then I wouldn't be in this situation.
"Hey, I hope you also consider that the person who got into an accident with you might have died a long time ago," Niko said before walking ahead of me.
"He better be or I'll be the one to kill him!"
Niko had no idea of my true identity. I just keep him as my prop to be a normal person living a normal life in front of the normal society.
