Chapter 11 - Ranks

Elinor spoke to everyone in an authoritative voice that captivated everyone.

"Show us what you can do there will be many times when you can show us in the weeks to come there will be exams, fighting tournaments, practical exams and even manufacturing which will have one lucky person sitting next to us able to achieve the title and rank of god."

Everyone who knew nothing about goods or manufacturing them shook their head, remembering everything they've done in their lives and feeling like they should have taken the step. When their moms introduced them to cooking or their dads when they worked on a project, they sheltered themselves in their training. I spoke up after seeing their faces.

"Oh but who would want to become one when you can sit at a roundtable of warlords and even myself? That person you hate so much that killed you." I let out an evil smirk saying the next part coldly. "I don't mind helping you extinguish them on our conquest for the world" I calmed back down, "and who knows I might need someone beside me to handle all types of affairs so the people who specialized in all don't back down."

After my address, many people felt relieved that there would be a lot of spots open for these priceless ranks that would become their lives. Elinor spoke up, "'Its time to state some ranks well add and subtract when we need but correctly we have the Rank of god, apostle, bishop, holy knight, follower, worker, commoner, and peasant. You may notice that I stated 8 ranks and not 20 because we are forming a hierarchy and only after specializing in some craft will you receive the other ranks which will be kept secret but general, warlord, engineer, and spy are a couple if we see talent somewhere we will put you to work under that post working as a rank that best suits you."

Everyone was contemplating what she said and someone spoke up "So the ranks determine how important we are. In this kingdom." Elinor smiled "Yep also determines who we give resources to. You want to strengthen your mana well and fight for it if you are an apostle but if you are a commoner you bet we won't do anything for you."

I smiled looking at the wholes of this system not expressing it though thinking it would be better for her to see what was wrong with this system and give her hints along the way If she doesn't figure it out at all.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yes, there are wholes in this it's supposed to be that way and confusing for her to grow as a leader. Thanks for understanding

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I walk to the front of everyone. "We will sort everyone into ranks 3 weeks from now so get to work. We will be watching everything you do from here on out. There is no need to worry about materials we will hand them out ourselves to you. Remember when you make something it needs to be able to fit into our ecosystem as well as it can be produced by you and only you. We can figure out the rest later so get to work now."

Elinor looked to the back of the room the door opening for everyone as she said in a beautiful dvine tone. "Let me guide you to your potential so show me your worth so I may do so"

She was enveloped in a warm light as everyone turned to look and it was like that. They thought they knew what they were getting into but now they knew. They were going to represent these people, no these gods. The Ranks weren't just stupid Ranks they showed the use and what you will be and become to the world. At that moment everyone wanted to become like them and they also started the spark for this theocracy to bloom into reality.

They respected them which will soon change into reverence and then into warship from their image and sheer absolute power. But one person had a completely different reaction to this as he was dragged by the god and ruler of death. Thinking why am I always so unlucky? First I'm killed by him, and now I'm being dragged by him. That's right it was Donald Kelven the unlucky soul who stood up to him and then died by him.

I dragged my little "project" into a large training area with a smile oblivious that he was dreading being dragged. His arms even reached out to Elinor out of some little glimmer of hope which was crushed when she looked away to evaluate some candidates for her elite corps.

I dropped him and looked at him shifting my form so it was easier to talk to him I was the same human wearing all the death symbolism. "Hay can I ask you something, a couple of things."

"Sure-?"

"Well let's start with why you stood up to me and why you think you here dragged by me"

He looked at me with a confused smile before it turned, "I'll tell you but it's kind of embarrassing It's because I would have died anyway, and as for your second question to torture me till I refuse to live," He said the last part with a certain pride like he was expecting be right and I couldn't keep it in I laughed.

"I'm sorry for laughing but I couldn't take it anymore. You wouldn't have died if you didn't stand up to me and also no for the second I'm here to train you. You're going to become my special task force. Keep it a secret but we're going to operate without the "goddess"."

"What do you mean aren't you under her?"

"You weren't paying attention. The rank of god is the same across we are all leaders. We just said that she actually. She took it upon herself and likes it but all the gods will work together. So we get to do our own fun from time to time."

"I see so why do you want me"

"Because I'm going to take a chance like no other person has," I said with a serious face contemplating my first choice to receive a brutal Rank under me. Which will make or break everything for me in the future.
