We appeared on a hill overlooking a beautiful scenery of a flower field. The cool wind blew through the flowers causing some loose ones to uproot and circle the sky. Until slowly falling back to its home. I took a deep breath feeling a toxic yet refreshing sensation overflowing my lungs before being expelled.
"Looks like nothing has changed, but let's get our barring first. Elinor"
Elinor's body slowly metalized from outside of my body, her beauty flashing into existence with a new black dress draping down her body. Her hair was in a bun as she took it out fixing the little strands of hair that fell in her face. After a couple of seconds, she smiled and looked at me.
"Anything you need Matthew"
"What's with the new look? Wanted to change things up?"
"Of course after all with your new body how else am I supposed to fit in"
She puffed out her cheeks in a slight pout before returning to normal.
"I'm guessing that isn't all you wanted to say"
"Of course not, I just wanted to consult you on some stuff before we start with our mission."
She looked at me kind of confused.
"You wanted to consult with me, how nice. Usually, people would just search out for the people who wronged them and get their revenge."
"That's stupid without knowledge we have none right now but information gathering can wait. You already know my mission but what's yours? What do you want? and lastly, I don't care what your answer is we will always be partners no matter what"
"Well, it's nice to have someone who cares. What I wanted in the past was the destruction of the world after being cast away, but now I don't think that's what I wanted."
She looked to the sky in disgust before changing it to a dark fog covering her body. Her curves became less and less visible being covered in a torrent of fog before suddenly stopping. Her eyes looked at me with a devious smile.
"Now I want to rule upon the world, my own country as if I was the god who rules it for. As for what I want. You don't get to know."
She let out a cute laugh turning around as I walked to her patting her back.
"Then let's do it. Seems like fun. We need to focus on information right now though and building a nation that rivals kingdoms is going to take some time. So before we act on your goal why not do mine and seed rebellions. The easiest way to become a leader of a country is to just over through one"
"I like the sound of that. Let's get going"
"Of course"
We started to walk. Conversations started before she looked at me.
"How did you do that to your soul"
"Oh you mean your surprise"
"Ya," she said shyly
"It's easy once you understand barkah. I've gained lots of understanding after fusing with it. Especially on souls. It's an internal world and I can do what I want with it."
I pointed to my ribcage.
"Mine is located here and I wanted you to be comfortable so why not make the souls our slaves to serve us while we're here? I also made sure to give us human appearances while making it. I can also do it while I'm in the real world or material plane. I just don't like it. I'll show you."
My body started to morph becoming a little shorter to 5'8. My phasic became more human-like and toned in muscles with short blond hair combed back. A black shirt with intricate designs portraying symbols of death on the collar and shoulder. The black pants show no design at all and are just plain. I looked to Elinor.
"I don't like it but it fits, looks like we're nearing a village"
Elinor looked in a daze.
"It suits you and let's figure out what the date is first."
We approached the line in front of the gate to the village. Starting to wait in it. Eventually arriving at the front of the line the guard looked at us saying.
"inform your intent of travel here whether it is medical, pleasure, business or other. Don't make the line wait."
"We're here to stay a night before heading over to the next town over."
The guard looked at us
"So pleasure" he sighed not caring at all. "Go right ahead then."
He pointed to the door to his right. Waiting for us to leave which we did leaving him. As we walk into the town. The first thing you can notice about the place was that it's big having shops at every corner. For every little thing you can think of. You need clothes well theirs a tailor right next door need some gear well theirs a blacksmith over there for your every need. Everyone was carefree and some were in no way in shape to fight having a plumped stomach. After eating to all their liking and living in a safe and secure place, But that's when it hit me were in an age of peace and prosperity. There were no shops at every corner and things were expensive it even seemed like the currency had changed.
"A lot has changed hasn't it"
"It has but I'm sure we can assume that things will be easier than expected."
"What do you mean by that if my enemies are ready dead then" I stopped before smiling.
"No this makes it better Elinor a little harder for mine but way better. I'm sure those heroes are alive somehow even though it's been at least a hundred years, But it seems we have more than 3 targets to get."
"Yep you do but don't get ahead of yourself information first your words."
"I haven't forgotten"
We walked to a tavern walking in the clang of drinks and the vibrant atmosphere of the place was almost the same as outside even the taste of cheap boos can fill your mouth from just walking into this place. We sat down looking at the tavern keep.
"Hay can I ask you a question"
He sneered but calmed his expression to a smile
"Sure ask away"
"What is the date today"
"It's September, 25, 3045"
I looked in disbelief at Elinor as we thought the same thing its been 340 years since the March Of The Underworld.
