Azriel and his men returned to the palace, making their way to the throne room for him to address the situation. However, as they walked past the hallway leading to Olivia's bedroom, Azriel abruptly halted. His gaze narrowed, fixated on the hallway.
something caught Azriel's attention. He was about to dismiss it when a gust of wind whispered Olivia's voice, faintly calling his name. In that moment, his suspicion was confirmed. The connection between them was undeniable.
"Move to the throne room, I'll be there shortly," he said, his mind filled with urgency. However, his heart had a different plan. Halfway to Olivia's door, he felt a subtle change in the rhythm of her heartbeat. It was slower than the rapid, exhilarating beats he had grown accustomed to. Concern flooded his being, propelling him to quicken his footsteps and burst into her room without hesitation.
Azriel's heart skipped a beat as he took in the sight of Olivia lying motionless on the floor, her complexion drained of color. Panic surged through him as he swiftly scooped her up and gently laid her on the soft bed. His hands trembled as he examined her pale face, unsure of what to do next.
"Princess," he called out, his voice filled with a mix of concern and awkwardness. This was uncharted territory for him, as he had never cared for anyone in such a way before. But seeing Olivia in such a vulnerable state shook him to the core.
He took a deep breath, trying to steady his racing thoughts. He needed to act quickly to help her. "Stay with me, Olivia," he whispered, his voice filled with determination.
With a flick of his palm, Azriel channeled a surge of spiritual energy into Olivia's weakened heart, hoping to revive her. As he anxiously continued, she unexpectedly raised her hand and grasped his tightly. Her lips moved, but the words escaped his hearing.
Olivia spoke in her mind, Azriel, who had the ability to read her thoughts, was able to hear her plea.
'I need blood, Azriel,' her thoughts echoed in his mind. Understanding her desperate request, he cursed under his breath.
Azriel had momentarily forgotten that Olivia was not a demon, but a pure-blooded vampire.
Realizing his oversight, he swiftly disappeared and reappeared at the entrance of the Abyssal Forest with her in his arms. This secluded place held the promise of finding the blood she needed. Gently, he laid her down by the familiar lake where he often bathed.
Azriel sealed the space where Olivia lay, ensuring her safety. He ventured into the depths of the Abyssal Forest, in search of a demonic beast that possessed the red blood she needed. However, he knew that finding such creatures wouldn't be easy, as the forest was mostly inhabited by Orcs.
Realizing that finding a suitable creature would take time, Azriel stood motionless at the heart of the forest. He snapped his hands together and whispered incantations under his breath. Suddenly, a majestic lion materialized before him, its arrival shrouded in mystery. How it found its way into the depths of the forest remained an enigma.
Azriel's lips curved upwards, a mischievous smile playing on his face as he observed the majestic lion before him.
Then, he directly extended his hand towards the lion, before the lion could make an escape. A dark fog surged forward and directly killed the lion.
Azriel rushed back to Olivia. He conjured a cup with a flick of his wrist and extracted the lion's life-giving blood. Carefully, he fed it to Olivia, looking at her face for any sign of revival.
With each passing minute, Azriel's anxiety grew. Despite his efforts, Olivia showed no signs of waking up. He anxiously waited.
Azriel was taken aback by the depth of his emotions for Olivia. As a devil, he wasn't supposed to care, but there was something about her that stirred his heart. Love had a way of defying expectations, even for beings like him.
He squeezed more blood from the lion and fed it to Olivia.
Why isn't she waking up?
Was the lion's blood not enough?
How hungry was she?!
Azriel's face twisted as Olivia remained unresponsive. Perhaps the lion's blood wasn't enough to awaken her. He couldn't help but wonder how hungry she must be for her to still be asleep.
He ran his hands through his hair in frustration. His gaze fell on the lake behind them, and a mischievous idea sparked in his mind. Without hesitation, he scooped her up and waded into the lake, the water soaking them both.
Olivia was taken aback as she felt the icy touch of the lake and sensed a surge of spiritual energy. As she opened her eyes, she was met with the intense gaze of piercing red eyes.
Her forest green eyes transformed into a striking shade of pure red as she locked eyes with the mysterious figure before her. Her heart skipped a beat as her gaze wandered across his face, taking in every detail.
Olivia's cheeks turned crimson as she realized how close they were. "I'm fine now," she whispered, looking away from him. Azriel, who had been locked in their gaze, froze at her words. His heart skipped a beat, uncertain of what to say next. The tension between them lingered in the air, as if waiting for one of them to make a move. Azriel finally broke the silence.
"Good," he said softly, his voice rough. Olivia's eyes met his again, a hint of a smile playing on her lips, which she masked immediately.
Olivia's expression changed. She looked away abruptly, her smile fading into a distant memory. It was clear that she was trying to distance herself from the situation, perhaps hoping to erase the thoughts that had crossed her mind. The air between them grew tense, filled with unspoken words and unanswered questions. Olivia's eyes met his again, but the smile that had once graced her lips was nowhere to be found.
"Let go" she spoke softly wanting to leave his arms.
For some weird reason, seeing her two elongated Canines poking out of her mouth turned him on so bad.
It made her look so hot.
"You look hot"
