Chapter 15 - Ever tasted this scorpion’s venom?

Azriel and his men arrived in Mystoria.

The guards of Mystoria, awestruck by the sudden appearance of Azriel and his men, bowed in unison, paying their respects to the powerful visitors. The air was filled with a mix of curiosity and reverence as the kingdom prepared to welcome the enigmatic presence of the Devil and his entourage.

Leonidas, taking charge, stepped forward to address the head guard. "Head guard, go swiftly and inform King Alistair of the Devil's presence in your realm. The fate of Mystoria hangs in the balance."

He instructed him. The fate of the kingdom rested on the king's response to this extraordinary visitation.

The head guard barged into the King's room. Seeing the interruption caused King Alistair's face to contort with a deep frown and anger. He was displeased by the disturbance while enjoying the company of numerous women in his chambers.

The head guard, realizing his mistake, quickly bowed in apology as he acknowledged that he had startled the king. He respectfully said, "My apologies, Your Majesty. I did not mean to interrupt your pleasurable company."

The king's face flushed with anger as he snapped at the head guard, "How dare you disturb me in such a manner! Leave at once!"

The guard, feeling the weight of the king's anger, hurriedly tried to explain himself. "Your Majesty, please forgive the intrusion. I bring urgent news" he stammered, hoping to convey the importance of his interruption.

The king, his anger still evident, replied curtly, "Can't it wait? I am occupied."

The guard, undeterred by the king's dismissive response, urgently informed him, "Your Majesty, I must insist. The devil is here!"

The king, surprised by the news, exclaimed, "Azriel is here in the palace?!"

The king began to shake in fear.

The guard, witnessing the king's trembling, tried to comfort him, saying, "Don't worry, Your Majesty. I will ensure your safety in the presence of the devil."

The king, his voice trembling, responded, "I... I must gather my courage. Let Azriel enter, but remain on high alert."

The guard nodded and left. He led Azriel into the grand throne room, where King Alistair was already awaiting his arrival.

Azriel entered the throne room with an air of ownership, while King Alistair rose to greet him respectfully.

King Alistair greeted Azriel with bow "Welcome to Mystoria, My lord, It's an honor to have you here."

Azriel, with a dismissive gesture, ignores King Alistair's greeting and takes a seat without uttering a word.

King Alistair, feeling a bit embarrassed, took his sit and turned to look at the red eyed man before him.

"What brings you to Mystoria, My lord? You should have called me to co_"

Azriel, with a piercing gaze, cuts to the chase and questions King Alistair, "How did Erebos manage to acquire sorcerers, Alistair?"

King Alistair, feeling the pressure, cooked up a lie to deceive Azriel and conceal the truth.

"Erebos used a forbidden spell to manipulate and recruit sorcerers, I can never give sorcerers to that rebel"

"Your Majesty, it seems you've underestimated the cunning of a devil like me" Azriel said with a smirk.

"Tell me for the last time Your Majesty, how did Erebos manage to gather sorcerers under his command?"

King Alistair was tongue tied and scared. But he tried not to let it reflect on his face. "I...I...I...I don't know_"

"Enough with the games, Alistair, I need answers, and I need them now. How did Erebos gather those sorcerers? Speak!" voice boomed further but the king was still adamant on not saying a word.

Azriel chuckled darkly, "Your Majesty, it seems your loyalty to Erebos runs deeper than I anticipated." He said with a sinister smile, "Listen carefully, Alistair. I have ways of making you talk. You can either choose to reveal the truth willingly, or I'll unleash a darkness upon you that you cannot even fathom."

The king felt cold water fall in his head and shivers ran down his spine.

He was the king for goodness sake, who dares threaten a king?!

"I am the King, I am not immune to threats. I will not be swayed by your intimidation tactics, Azriel. My loyalty lies with my kingdom and its people."

Azriel smiled,

"Your confidence is admirable, King Alistair. But remember, even the mightiest kings have fallen when faced with the darkness they underestimate." He said,

"Do not forget who gave you this position, i chose you, that means I can get rid of you"

King Alistair glared at Azriel and said,

"You dare challenge the authority bestowed upon me? I will not tolerate such insolence, Azriel. Know your place!"

Azriel's patience reached its breaking point, a simmering anger consuming him. With a swift motion, he extended his hand, unleashing a swirling tempest of black fog. The king, desperate to defend himself, summoned his magic, but it proved futile against Azriel's dark power. The sinister mist enshrouded the king's hand, tightening its grip with an eerie intensity. The flesh was mercilessly stripped away, leaving only the glistening bones exposed.

The king's agonizing screams echoed through the air, his pain reverberating with each passing moment.

Crashing to the ground, the king collapsed in a heap, his body wracked with pain and despair.

As the king lay on the floor, writhing in agony, the sound of heavy footsteps filled the room. The guards burst in, their faces filled with concern and urgency.

Azriel's eyes blazed with a wicked gleam as he flicked his finger, unleashing a surge of power. The guards, caught off guard, were sent hurtling through the air, their bodies crashing into the walls with a resounding thud.

Azriel, his eyes filled with malevolence, directed his attention towards the suffering king. With a sinister grin, he extended his hands once more, conjuring a massive cage that materialized around the king, trapping him in a prison of despair.

Azriel's voice dripped with venom as he confronted the king, his eyes burning with curiosity.

"For the last time, King Alistair, why does Erebos harbor sorcerers? Speak, or I'll feed you"

The King began to cry, his lips trembling nonstop.

Seeing the king's tears and trembling lips, Azriel's expression softened slightly. "Crying won't save you, Alistair" he sneered, relishing in the king's vulnerability.

Azriel's eyes gleamed with sadistic delight as he taunted the king. "Ever tasted the venom of these scorpions, Alistair?" he asked, his hands filled with writhing creatures.

The king's face turned pale and he couldn't control his bladder, peeing on himself in fear.

The king was well aware of Azriel's reputation. When Azriel made a threat, he always followed through with it.
