"Daniel, did you hear that?"
"Hear what?"
"Max's voice?"
"Oh, I didn't," Daniel replied.
"Give me a second."
"Where are you going?"
"To check on my kids, of course."
"I'll go with you," Daniel said as he tried to get up but Kiara stopped him.
"Don't sweat it, I'll go see for myself," Kiara said and stood up from her seat.
She got to where her kids were and checked their room but didn't find anything.
"Who did you see, honey?" Kiara asked.
"We saw someone standing at that door."
Max said, pointing at Daniel's door.
"It's okay honey, go get some sleep." She said and closed his door.
Kiara walked slowly towards Daniel's room and checked everywhere but still didn't find anything.
She walked back to the dining room, but this time she didn't sit.
She stood behind her chair and stared at Daniel suspiciously.
"Do you know how frightened Max looked?"
