So how do you define the existence of someone? And where does the definition stand in the afterlife? And what if you end up being somewhere in between?
While existence in simple terms means living, and afterlife is not something the living knows, we can keep it at that. But as for the third question, the one who was closest to the answer was Roselyn.
Standing in a white room that stretched as far as the eyes could see, Roselyn concentrated on the black table under the black umbrella right in front of her. It was a three sided table with two empty seats.
As for the third seat, it was occupied but… err… a glowing light shaped in the form of a human. Looking at the curves, it could be inferred the body of a woman.
"Where the heck am I?"a voice stingier than nails against the blackboard, resounded in Roselyn's ears. It was only then she saw the lady in black beside her.
"Naomi Aldira. You have committed too many atrocities in your life…"the light lady spoke in a sound more angelic than what Roselyn has ever heard. It was like sirens singing melodies, enchanting and beautiful. However, it had no effect on Naomi.
"Wha-"She was about to shout again but her mouth was shut closed by an unknown force as the light lady continued,
"But your drive wasn't evil. You made those decisions out of force. Hence, the Gods cannot decide if they should punish you to hell or send you to heaven."
Barabra looked silently at the light lady who seemed to enjoy her cup of coffee, drinking it ever so silently.
"Roselyn."
The voice was the same, yet there was a different emotion in them. If previously it was like a voice from a businesswoman, then now it felt like coming from a mother.
"Why don't you sit here?" the light pointed at one of the empty chairs in front of her.
Hesitation was all over Roselyn's face as she turned to Naomi , her eyes seemed scared of the glares which Roselyn was throwing at her. Though she builds up the courage, as her eyes look at the light lady, before she walks towards the table helps herself with the seat.
"You too. Come here and sit."
The light lady ordered as Roselyn's body forcefully reached the table, sitting with her.
"You must be confused with your sudden summon so I will keep it brief, if you have any questions, you can ask after I explain everything,"She looked at both of the girls for a couple of seconds before continuing.
"I'll be direct. Your souls have been pulled away from your body, brought here with the powers of the Universe.
Don't mistake it for your death as you are still alive. Deep in coma, your bodies lying in their places where you left them. And I presume you already know the reasons for your calling here.
Now to hasten the process.
[Memory!]"
The light lady chanted as memories of the girl in black filled Naomi 's mind, showing her every bit and corner of what Naomi was to what she has become.
It wasn't just her but Barabar too received Roselyn's memories, making her understand the kind of person Roselyn is.
They both gave each other a certain knowing look. Despite being from two completely different worlds, they now understood each other completely.
But still, there were a couple of questions raised in their mind as they observed the Light lady.
"Usually we regress or reincarnate other people, fulfilling their wishes. But your situation is rather difficult to comprehend," The light lady created a cup of tea for the three of them, and picked up on as she gracefully took a sip.
Roselyn's expression was a bit tense, while Naomi seemed to be lost in the memories she just had .
"Roselyn. Your fate is too cruel. Even if we were to change the past or send you back in time, you will still suffer. It's a black mark of your soul of which I cannot tell you anything.
The only way to change your fate is by gaining the power to change the fate.
One is forbidden to change his own, so we brought you here to give you a chance to change the fate of someone that is nigh impossible to do so.
If you succeed, you will gain the authority to change your fate completely.
My child, will you accept it?"
The light lady spoke words that were difficult to understand for Roselyn. But she understood that she needs to change the fate of the lady in black if she wants her life to take a better turn.
"What about me?" Naomi asked with a narrowed look. "Do I need to help her in her life too?" She added.
"I will tell you of your goal once the little one has decided,"the light lady answered while Roselyn kept pondering over her choice. Or did she even have one?
Not like going back to being in a body in coma was an option. And dying wasn't something she had in the list of things she wanted to do.
"I agree," she answered with determination. At least it was better than not having any hope at all.
"Very well then." The light lady smiled as she mumbled something, in a language that was too hard to comprehend for either of the girls.
And then… a Screen appeared in front of the girls. Each having a game like system, telling them of their abilities and such.

"You didn't think we would send you into that Brutal world without a power of your own, did you?" The Light lady smiled.
But Roselyn was too amazed to look at her. Her entire concentration was focused on the system.
It was her gift… not only to help Rosalyn change Naomi's fate but to change her own as well.
"However… there is a catch," the light lady added garnering the attention of both the ladies.
