The sunlight streamed from the western mountains smoothly shining through the room of Kizuya and Ren.
"Good morning Kizuya" Ren said with soft voice.
"Good morning..." as Kizuya greeted Ren, Kizuya still seems to be sleepy.
"..."
"Rennel sent us food earlier while you were asleep"
After some time, Kizuya is now wide awake.
"I will shower first. Eat your breakfast, fill yourself"
"Okay"
Kizuya proceeds to go to the bathroom to take a shower.
"Water is so cold here"
After he showered he noticed that he didn't have his towel.
"Augh... I forgot my towel"
Rennel appeared out of nowhere.
"Here it is Kizu-kun" gives Kizuya's towel while chuckling.
"I am completely naked!, don't come out of nowhere like that"
"My apologies... I heard that you need assistance" Rennel looked down. "eagles do really are big"
"Wha-?, thanks by the way"
Rennel vanishes.
"Before I dress my uniform I should eat my breakfast first before it gets cold" Kizuya thought.
It's now Ren's turn to shower.
After some time she's finally finished showering.
"Kizuya... Why are you still undressed?... Are you planning to..."
"No... No!, I ate my food first before it gets cold"
Silence filled the room.
"What do we do now?"
"Well I can't go outside the room look like this"
"It's your fault you didn't dress after heading out of the bathroom"
They had no choice than to change their clothes without peeking.
"Don't peek at me Kizu-kun"
"Eh?"
Ren firstly finished wearing her uniform, he peeks at Kizuya while he change his shirt.
"Nice six packs..." Ren thought while blushing.
"You thought I wouldn't notice you were peeking at me?"
"Eh eh... no no I would never... I.. I just turned my eyes and it led to your abs... I mean body.. I mean you!"
"Okay"
Kizuya turned to her direction.
"Ahh Kizu-kun, you're making me blush"
"Just as I thought"
After they prepared themselves, they headed out for their first weekly knowledge area learning. The morning sun cast a warm glow on the pathways as they walked side by side.
"So, what do you think we'll be learning today?" Ren asked, breaking the silence.
Kizuya glanced at her, a playful grin on his face. "Hopefully something that will challenge your blushing skills."
Ren lightly punched him on the arm. "You wish, Kizu-kun."
As they approached the knowledge room, a sense of anticipation filled the air. The room was a hub of activity, with students gathering and discussions already underway. The walls were lined with books and holographic displays, creating an environment of intellectual curiosity.
"Looks like it's going to be an interesting session," Kizuya remarked.
"Agreed," Ren replied, her eyes shining with excitement.
They found their seats and settled in, ready to immerse themselves in the world of knowledge. The teacher entered the room, and the session began with an overview of the chosen topic. Engrossed in the presentation, Kizuya and Ren eagerly absorbed information, occasionally exchanging glances and sharing subtle smiles.
As the session progressed, Kizuya found himself captivated by the subject matter. He jotted down notes, his mind racing with ideas and questions. Beside him, Ren was equally engrossed, occasionally leaning over to discuss a point or share her insights.
Time seemed to fly by, and before they knew it, the session was nearing its end. The instructor encouraged participation, and Kizuya raised his hand to ask a thoughtful question. Ren nodded in approval, clearly impressed by his curiosity.
Finally, the session concluded, and the students began to disperse. Kizuya and Ren gathered their belongings and stepped out of the knowledge room.
"That was really fascinating," Ren said, her eyes still bright with enthusiasm.
"Yeah, I can't wait to dive deeper into this," Kizuya replied.
As they walked back, the sun had climbed higher in the sky, casting long shadows on the ground. The playful banter continued, with Kizuya and Ren discussing the session and exchanging ideas.
Rennel reappeared out of nowhere.
"Kizu-sama, Ren-sama, The headmaster want to see you"
They transported into the office if the headmaster.
"Good morning headmaster"
"Good morning, have you casted any magics today, Kizuya?, Ren?"
"No sir!"
"Very well, as you might noticed the chatters around about the arena has been stopped. It is because I cleared it to their memories"
"What's the reason? and why did you summon is here?"
"The reason is because I don't want this academy scatter the news about the two students out of seven that can control emperor level magic, I summoned you here to warn it to you, if you ever broke this rule I made you will be granted with a severe punishment"
"Understand"
"Well then you may go now"
They get back to their room.
"That's it?"
"At least it's just an easy task, we just need to not use emperor level magic"
Rennel opened their room's door.
"Ren-sama, Kizuya-sama, the lunch is ready. Please proceed to the cafeteria, after that you will head to the mock battle for elementary magic training"
"Really? Elementary?, this is pure torture. Why can't we be in higher magic levels?"
"It's because of you're age you two"
With a sigh and a shared glance, Kizuya and Ren followed Rennel's guidance, making their way to the bustling cafeteria. The tantalizing aroma of freshly prepared food enveloped them as they entered, causing their stomachs to rumble in eager response. The clatter of dishes and the hum of conversations created a lively atmosphere, and they found an empty table to settle in.
They indulged in a hearty lunch, savoring each bite while discussing their morning's experiences. As the meal concluded, they made their way to the designated training area, the anticipation of learning new magic techniques fueling their excitement.
The instructor, a stern-looking woman with an air of authority, stood at the front of the training ground.
"Form a line! Today, you will embark on your journey with elementary magic," her voice echoed across the area, commanding the attention of the students.
Elementary magic encompassed the basics: healing spells, fireballs, water manipulation, and wind surges.
Kizuya's mind wandered during the introductory lecture. "This is getting tedious," he thought.
The instructor proceeded to teach the students the fundamental techniques of fireballs, water manipulation, and wind surges. Her demonstrations were precise, each spell executed with finesse that left the students in awe.
"Prepare yourselves for the mock battle! Choose your opponents, but do not select your partners," her stern tone left no room for argument.
As the students paired up and began practicing their newfound skills, Kizuya found himself facing a girl named Hanako, who seemed rather timid and struggled to conjure even a simple fireball.
"Next up, Kizuya and Hanako. Focus on observing each other's aura. This skill will prove invaluable as it indicates your opponent's intentions," the instructor's guidance resonated in the air.
They took their battle positions on the sunlit training ground, the heat intensifying the ambiance of challenge. Hanako's voice quivered as she spoke, her nervousness palpable. "Um... ano... Kizu-kun, please go easy on me."
The battle commenced, and Hanako summoned a fireball that barely grazed Kizuya. Aware of her trepidation, he decided to take a gentler approach. With a flick of his wrist, he conjured a small water ball, gently pushing Hanako back.
"This is rather uneventful," Kizuya thought, his boredom evident.
Feeling the monotony, he swiftly concluded the battle with a precise wind surge, leaving Hanako slightly bewildered.
"Time's up! The winner is Kizuya," the instructor's voice declared the outcome, drawing the battle to an official close.
As the students dispersed, Kizuya's restlessness simmered beneath the surface. He found himself unable to quell his urge for more intricate and challenging magic.
"Excuse me, ma'am," Kizuya ventured, his curiosity getting the best of him.
The instructor turned her stern gaze toward him. "What is it?"
Kizuya hesitated for a moment before speaking. "I appreciate the training, but I can't help but feel that there's more to magic than these basics."
A flicker of intrigue danced in the instructor's eyes. "You hunger for greater challenges, don't you?"
Kizuya nodded, a determined glint in his gaze. "Yes, ma'am. I want to push my limits, to delve into more complex and advanced magic."
The instructor studied him for a moment, her stern expression softening. "Very well. Your enthusiasm is commendable. Let's see if you can handle what you seek." The instructor smirked.
Kizuya's heart raced with anticipation, a fire ignited within him as he awaited the instructor's next words.
"Meet me at the same place next afternoon"
The instructor said with a smirk.
"Can I come too?" Ren inquired.
"Me three" Hanako inquired too.
"Only you three will, don't add anymore person or I ain't teaching advance to you three".
"Yes ma'am" they said in unison.
They went back to their room after the training.
The sun cast a warm afternoon glow into Kizuya and Ren's room, creating an inviting atmosphere. As the temperature rose, Kizuya found himself seeking relief from the heat. With a casual shrug, he removed his shirt, revealing his well-defined physique. He settled at the desk, his journal open before him.
Meanwhile, Ren was seated cross-legged on the floor, her artistic tools laid out beside her. A canvas rested on an easel, awaiting the touch of her brush. She observed Kizuya's shirtless form, her heart skipping a beat at the sight of his exposed skin.
Kizuya glanced over at Ren, catching her gaze. "What?" he asked with a raised eyebrow.
Ren blushed, momentarily flustered by his attention. "Oh, nothing. I was just...admiring the sunlight."
Kizuya chuckled softly, a knowing glint in his eyes. "Is that so?"
Ren nodded, her gaze returning to her canvas. "Yes. It's creating a beautiful play of light."
As Ren set to work, her brushstrokes captured the essence of the moment with an artist's finesse. The sun-kissed contours of Kizuya's form emerged on the canvas, each stroke an embodiment of her admiration. Her focus remained on her painting, secretly savoring the sight before her.
Kizuya, engrossed in his journal, occasionally glanced up, his gaze meeting Ren's. He found solace in her presence, the gentle rhythm of her brushstrokes a soothing backdrop to his thoughts. Her attention was solely on her canvas, and the quiet intimacy of the scene left him with a sense of warmth.
The minutes flowed by in a delicate dance of creativity and unspoken connection. Kizuya's words flowed onto the pages of his journal, while Ren's brush moved with a quiet determination.
Eventually, Ren stepped back from her painting, her heart fluttering with a mix of satisfaction and vulnerability. She admired her work, a portrait of the moment's tranquility and Kizuya's presence, forever captured on canvas.
Kizuya closed his journal and met Ren's gaze, a soft smile gracing his lips. "Finished?"
Ren nodded, her blush deepening. "Yes. It's my attempt to capture the ambiance."
Curiosity sparked in Kizuya's eyes, and he walked over to examine the painting. Ren's expression shifted slightly, and she instinctively moved to hide the painting behind her back, a small smile tugging at her lips.
Kizuya arched an eyebrow, amused by her reaction. "Why won't you let me see it?"
Ren hesitated, her cheeks tinted with a faint blush. "It's... uh, it's not really anything special. Just a mess, really."
Kizuya shook his head, his gaze steady. "I am pretty sure it's not ugly because you're the one who painted it."
Ren's blush deepened, and she bit her lip. "Well, it's not that. It's just... embarrassing, you know?"
Kizuya chuckled softly, a warm glint in his eyes. "Embarrassing or not, I'd still like to see it. But if you're not comfortable showing me, I won't push."
Ren let out a relieved sigh. "Thanks, Kizuya. Maybe another time, okay?"
As the tension eased, Kizuya was about to reply, but Ren interrupted him with sudden enthusiasm. "Oh, by the way, let's head to the library. The instructor mentioned something about teaching us advanced magic."
Kizuya raised an eyebrow, a hint of suspicion in his gaze. "Advanced magic? But we've already surpassed that level."
Ren nodded, her expression feigning nonchalance. "Yeah, well, it's probably some new techniques or tips. You know how these things go. Come on, let's not keep the instructor waiting."
She reached out and playfully pulled on his arm, leading him towards the door.
Kizuya blinked, caught off guard. "Wait, hold on a second! I have no shirt on-"
After some time, they reached the grand expanse of the library. Towering shelves filled with books lined the walls, a treasure trove of knowledge waiting to be explored. The books were meticulously organized into four distinct sections: Elemental, Infusion, Summon, and Medication.
Ren's voice held a touch of teasing as she turned to Kizuya. "Remember what I said last time?"
Kizuya scratched his head, feigning ignorance. "No clue, actually."
Ren huffed in mock exasperation. "Hmp.. I said that I want to summon other creatures too, not just stick to my light dragon."
Recognition dawned on Kizuya's face. "Oh yeah, I remember now. Let's head straight to that summoning section then."
As they ventured further into the library, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement. Kizuya focused his magical prowess, summoning forth tiny, ephemeral wards and mischievous baby wargs. Meanwhile, Ren's concentration led to nearly summoning an Oni, a powerful and intimidating creature.
"Close it, close it faster!" Kizuya urged, his voice edged with urgency.
"Aahh, it's coming out!" Ren's tone was a mix of alarm and fascination.
"Close it!" Kizuya echoed, his determination evident.
With concerted effort, they managed to close the summoning portal just in the nick of time, preventing the powerful Oni from fully manifesting.
Ren's cheeks flushed with a mix of embarrassment and relief. "You know, I almost summoned a powerful demon just now."
Kizuya let out a chuckle, patting her shoulder reassuringly. "Hey, at least you've learned how to summon something other than your usual light dragon."
Ren nodded sheepishly. "Yeah, I suppose that's one way to look at it."
As they continued to chatter and explore the summoning section, their laughter and shared experiences echoed through the library. Unbeknownst to them, Hanako passed by, her curiosity piqued by the sight of Kizuya.
"... Kizuya-kun, what are you doing here?" Hanako's voice held a mix of surprise and curiosity.
Kizuya turned to face her with a friendly smile. "Oh, hey there Hanako. We're just diving into the world of summoning magic."
Hanako's gaze flickered to Ren, a hint of jealousy momentarily clouding her expression. "And who is this?" she asked, nodding toward Ren.
Kizuya's smile widened as he introduced them. "Hanako, this is my best friend, Ren."
"Best... Friend?"
"Yeah best friend... Does something bothering you about it?"
"Nothing Kizu-kun"
"Who's this girl and why is she calling him Kizu-kun like Rennel?" Ren thought
Silence filled the library for that moment.
