Chris was at a loss for retort and thanks to the server, who came up to them saving his face.
"Hello Mr. & Mrs. Watson, our captain, wants to meet you," the server replied politely.
Suzy's brows scrunched up, as she didn't like this sudden invitation.
Chris sensed something, squeezed her hand in his warmly and responded, "Please send our regards to your captain, but I don't think we can make up to his request, right babe?"
He leaned forward slightly looking at Suzy for her opinion.
Suzy had a hunch that something was amiss but she just couldn't pinpoint it particularly.
Although she peeped into Chris' eyes, wanting to say no; but curiosity got the cat out of the bag at the last minute.
She thought, 'Who is this captain being so generous? Out of all the couples, why does he want to invite us for a meet-up?'
"Babe?" Chris called her out for the response.
