On table number 2....
"There's no way I can forever lead the company Leopard Enterprise, Carver must be the successor." Jackson said to Richard.
"I'll do my best, sir," said Richard, stirring his drink.
At table number 7....
'Leopard Company? That guy's son's name was 'Carver'? Isn't Carver's last name Leopard?' Violeth thought anxiously and uneasily.
The Fletcher Company's corporate building.
In a cool and fresh room, a woman brought some files to the table where the chief director's chair was.
A laptop that was shifted to the right was replaced with paper files brought by Cheri's secretary.
"The signing of the stadium construction project must be carried out immediately for the implementation of this project sir." Cheri's secretary placed a black pen over the file.
Edward opened the file and skimmed through it. His hand moved to sign the file with his own pen.
When finished, Cheri's secretary left and bowed her head respectfully to Carver who was standing in front of the directors desk.
CLICK...!
Before Cheri's secretary could open the door, Joan's manager opened it first, causing Cheri's secretary to almost fall backwards in surprise and be pushed by the door.
"Eitss... luckily I was on time." Joan's manager quickly grabbed Cheri's secretary who almost fell backwards.
The sight was witnessed by Edward, much to his disgust.
"No drama, Manager Joan, Secretary Cheri! I don't like that kind of drama!" Edward said as he stood looking at the two company employees in what looked like a love scene.
"Dad, they seem like a perfect match," Carver said to Edward.
"What? No-no... that will never happen!" Secretary Cheri freed herself from the hands that were holding her body. "Get away from me, Manager Joan!"
Manager Joan said. "I believe we are meant to be, Secretary Cheri. Just like Young Master Carver said."
Cheri's secretary dusted her arm. "That can't happen in my lifetime! I'm too young and too beautiful to be the wife of an old man like you!"
Secretary Cheri stepped open the door with audible footsteps from a pair of red high heels clinging to her feet.
"Just watch, secretary Cheri. I'm going to put you on your knees begging me to marry you!" Manager Joan's eyes fell on Cheri's secretary coming out the door.
Cheri's secretary glanced briefly at Joan's manager before disappearing from view. "You think I'm a slut? That will never happen!"
"Manager Joan, sorry for what I said earlier," said Carver as he stood up to greet manager Joan who entered the room.
"You don't have to apologize to me Young Master Carver! What you said earlier was exactly what I wanted," manager Joan replied.
After everyone was seated, manager Joan said something.
"Mr. Edward, the construction of the building has reached 60 percent. Maybe one more year to complete, then what about the construction of the stadium which will start next month?" asked Joan's manager.
"Just do it right away! The benefits of building a stadium. The company will earn billions in profit in just a few months," Edward answered with confidence.
"Yes, Sir." Manager Joan nodded her head.
Edward gives the file to Joan's manager. Several sheafs barely half an inch thick were picked up by Joan's manager to continue her work.
"I like your work, Manager Joan."
"Thank you very much Mr. Edward. That's because your salary is big enough for me," said Joan's manager.
"Big salary for you, because you work well," added Edward.
Manager Joan got up from her seat, smoothing the chair she had just been sitting on without making a sound. "I have permission to return to my study, Mr. Edward. "Yes, please!"
Manager Joan stepped towards Edward's exit but stopped when her boss suddenly called out.
"Manager Joan, wait a moment! I need your help again."
"What's wrong, Master Edward? Would you like me to teach Young Master Carver about working for the company? Manager Joan could already guess what Edward meant.
Edward nodded, then asked Carver to follow Joan to the manager's office.
Carver quickly stood up and left the room to follow Joan's manager. Carver looks like he's about to have another long day.
Past several rooms full of employees at work.
"Come on, Mr. Carver." Joan's manager opened her office door. Ask Carver to follow him into the study
Joan's manager's office was not much different from Edward's. It has a luxury table and chairs with two air conditioners attached to either side of the wall. Near the door was a soft sofa chair that circled a round table.
"Young Master Carver, please sit down. I will get you something." Manager Joan pointed at the chair the company manager was proud of.
"No need, Manager Joan. I'll just sit here." Carver refused and chose to sit on the green couch that circled the round table.
"Then, okay." Joan's manager placed the file on her desk, then approached the shelf to get something.
Take something similar to the file he brought earlier. Put it on the table near Carver and open the front.
"Now, Young Master Carver. As a start of your studies, you must read this file to the end," said Joan's manager.
The file was indeed only one book, but almost five centimeters thick. Not only dozens of sheets of paper are in the file, but there are hundreds of sheets containing important data.
"What's in this file? I have to read this much?" Carver asked hesitantly.
"That's right, Mr Carver," replied Joan's manager.
Carver slowly leafed through the files.
Carver asked when he reached the middle of the file, there were several shareholders.
"That's the share price of the toll road that was built by the Fletcher Company four years ago. The profit we got was tens of millions of dollars from the sale of toll road shares," said Joan's manager.
"Tens of millions of dollars?" Carver is shocked and can't believe what Joan's manager is saying.
"Don't be surprised, Mr. Carver. That's the company's income that not only does Mr. Edward own, but the company's income is still divided to pay the employees here." Joan's manager took a laptop from her desk, opened something and showed it to Carver.
"This is stock data for the toll road built by the Fletcher Company."
"How wide is this street?" he asked
Manager Joan pulled back her laptop and closed it then answered. "Only about 25 kilometers. It's a small construction, unlike other big companies that can build hundreds of kilometers, Mr Carver," Joan replied.
"Hundreds of kilometers? Then how much profit is there if a company builds hundreds of kilometers of toll roads?" he asked.
"Around...."
Door Knocked ....
