Chapter 69 - Chapter 69: The SSS-Level Undead Lord Arrives

Zach quickly locked onto the target, and to his surprise, only one monster appeared this time.

The body wasn't as tall as he had imagined—about the same height as Zach himself. The dagger-shaped horn on the top of its head was slightly taller. It wore a pure gold breastplate, but the protection it offered was minimal, covering only the neck, collarbones, and shoulders. Most of the chest and abdomen were exposed, revealing a faint blue glow through the gaps in its ribs.

A closer inspection of its skin revealed a thick layer of black hair, definitely not human. Its legs were thick, with ankles much thinner, adorned with golden anklets. Its toes resembled camel's feet—two, but sufficient to support its stance. A small portion of gold waist armor covered the front of its body, while the rest of the armor was like torn white cloth, fluttering in the breeze.

Its tail, as thick as a calf's, extended more than a meter long, smooth to the touch.

The most eye-catching feature was its head: shaped like a cupped fist with ten fingers lightly gripping, the eyes and mouth formed between the fingers, glowing with blue light. At this moment, it was raising its arms as though preparing to perform some kind of mysterious ceremony, holding its fingers halfway, its head tilted slightly.

Floating in front of it was an ancient book imprisoned by two crossed chains—black leather with blue pages, flipping automatically like fire.

Then, Zach saw it—one after another, dark blue vortex doors opening on the ground.

Familiar monsters emerged from them!

That's right! Familiar—very familiar! They were monsters Zach had just slain: scythes, titan weapons, ghost mages, and even guardian knights.

Zach reacted instantly. "Is it possible for this creature to summon the souls of the dead to fight for it, like an undead summoner?"

He hadn't seen this profession in action, but he was well aware of it from the game setting.

"If its skills can be extracted, the value of this zombie monster will double."

Unfortunately, Zach scanned the area and found only one undead summoner.

Though endless extraction could pull skills from monsters, it didn't guarantee that the skill would be obtained 100%, like when killing human players. What he got depended on luck.

Zach wasn't sure if his luck was up to par. His SSS-level talent skill hadn't been unlocked yet.

"Let's see how this plays out," Zach muttered, staying calm as he watched the thousands of undead being summoned.

[The 3540th attempt was successful! Some permissions have been regained!]

[SSS-level skill infinite combo has been restored!]

[SSS-level skill beheading has been restored!]

[SSS-level skill Thunder King has been restored!]

It seemed that by forcibly regaining authority, some restrictions on his SSS-level skills were lifted.

Zach immediately noticed that the original 100-hit damage limit for combos was canceled, now becoming unlimited. This meant one attack could be a thousand combos, ten thousand, or even billions!

Sure enough, the system given to him was not as strong as the one awakened through his own efforts.

Suddenly, dark clouds covered the sky, and golden thunder flickered, illuminating everything as lightning surged and cracked!

It was blinding!

For Zach, however, he vanished, or rather, transformed into a hundred-foot-tall thunder god within the storm clouds.

Lightning danced over his entire body, not a single part of his flesh visible. His face was fierce, a terrifying sight for anyone who approached.

Rumble! Rumble! Rumble!

Giant thunderous hands pressed down, releasing thunder as thick as a basin from between his ten fingers. The electric bolts splintered in midair like branches, streaking across the sky.

In seconds, lightning struck the undead warriors, knocking them senseless!

The flames scorched them, turning them to ash in an instant—no chance to retaliate.

After the undead warriors were obliterated, they could not be summoned again.

Despite the undead summoner's relentless calling, the summoning speed slowed, and the numbers dwindled.

The power of Zach's thunder did not falter.

He noticed that the undead summoner had been trying to use its remaining undead warriors to shield it from the lightning, but the few hundred warriors left were nothing against the overwhelming force of Zach's attack.

Boom!

Zach slammed his palm down, wiping out the remaining undead.

Only the Undead Summoner and its useless book remained.

Without undead, how could it continue summoning?

With a swift motion, Zach grabbed the undead summoner, lifting it before him.

The summoner still didn't give up. It opened its head with ten fingers, firing a beam of blue light.

Zach blinked.

Click!

With a flash of white eyes, a lightning strike instantly neutralized its attack.

[The 3800th attempt was successful! Some permissions have been regained!]

[SSS-level skills have been restored!]

[SSS-level skill Angel Paladin has been restored!]

[SSS-level skills have recovered a hundred knives per second!]

[SSS-level skill luck promotion has been restored!]

Luck boost?! Zach double-checked, surprised by the notification.

Smiling, he muttered, "What are you really thinking? What is this even trying to do?"

He squeezed his five fingers, sending countless tiny lightning bolts into the undead summoner's body, killing it instantly.

[Successfully killed the Undead Summoner! Congratulations to the host for getting 500 killing points!]

Spreading his fingers, Zach watched the undead summoner's blue light fade, leaving only its gray corpse.

Without hesitation, Zach chose to extract.

[Extracting...]

[Extraction successful! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the skill Undead Summoning, Ability Power +50, Ability Defense +35!]

"The Undead Summoning!" Zach didn't expect to acquire the skill.

Though he knew that improving his luck played a huge role in this, it didn't stop him from feeling like the true Emperor of Europe.

[Congratulations to the host for obtaining the skill Undead Summoning, automatically upgraded to SSS-level Undead Lord!]

Seeing this system prompt, Zach grinned—it was the happiest moment for him!

Undead Summoning, unlike monsters, had a chance of failure, especially when summoning undead stronger than oneself. However, after upgrading to SSS-level Undead Lord, all these restrictions were broken.

No limit on the number of summons!

No limit on the strength of summoned creatures!

Summoning was free!

As long as you killed the opponent, whether yourself or someone else, you could summon them to serve you, swearing fealty as your king!

Looking at the corpse of the undead summoner, Zach smiled triumphantly, deciding to use it as a test subject. It would be his first summoned undead!

[Calling...]

[Successful summoning! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the Undead Summoner!]

A black shadow ghost crawled out of the undead summoner, stood up, and bowed on one knee. Crossing its arms over its chest, it spoke in a sonorous voice: "Meet my king!"
