Chapter 70 - Chapter 70: Tame the Bone Dragon! Fear Strikes the Monsters

After being summoned into the undead army, the undead summoner can still maintain one hundred summoned entities.

Had Zach not killed so many beforehand, it could have summoned an even larger undead army.

Watching the undead summoner stand up under his command, its eyes glinted with a fierce light, accompanied by a menacing grin.

Those who didn't know might think the summoned entity was out of control.

However, in truth, the undead summoner wasn't hostile toward him. Its animosity was directed at something behind him...

Zach turned around to see what had caught its attention.

The red vortex gate that had suddenly appeared made Zach initially think that the creature had run out of options and was preparing to leave.

But what emerged from it quickly shattered that assumption.

It was a dragon head without flesh and blood!

Indeed, there was no flesh, only bone, which gradually exposed itself.

Unlike regular bones, this texture resembled metal, not bone.

After the bone dragon emerged from the vortex, the gate closed quickly.

Boom! Boom! Boom…

The dragon flapped its enormous wings, sending a powerful gust of wind straight at him.

Staring at its long, skeletal body, combined with several tattered membrane wings, Zach didn't bother to question the creature's design.

After all, this was a world beyond logic—such a thing wasn't all that surprising.

The bone dragon landed in front of Zach. It gripped the roof of a nearby six-story building with its claws, smashed through the wall, and raised its head to roar directly at Zach!

Was it trying to intimidate him?

Zach's thoughts were far less concerned with the dragon's intentions. Instead, his mind wondered: If I kill this thing and summon it as my mount, how cool would that be?

Crisis sensing!

Realizing the danger, Zach immediately raised his arm. The moment his fingers clenched, a golden thunder spear, dozens of meters long, materialized and shot toward the bone dragon!

Rumble!

A black beam of light shot from the dragon's mouth, directly colliding with the golden spear. The two forces were evenly matched!

Zach could feel the presence of Death emanating from the dragon's breath—if it touched him, it would certainly obliterate him!

Not wasting time, Zach raised both hands. In the blink of an eye, two more lightning spears materialized. They combined into one massive, concentrated force, striking through the entire bone dragon, shattering it to pieces!

In an instant, the bone dragon disintegrated into a pile of white bones, towering higher than the building.

It wasn't that the dragon was weak—it was that the power of Zach's SSS-level skills, combined with the unlimited combo potential, was simply overwhelming!

[Successfully killed the bone dragon! Congratulations to the host for earning 500 killing points!]

As the vortex gate, now resembling a blood pool, expanded once again, Zach seized the opportunity to extract the dragon.

[Extraction successful! Congratulations to the host for acquiring the skill Death Breath! Strength attribute +100, spell power +50!]

[Congratulations to the host for acquiring the skill Death Breath, which will automatically upgrade to SSS-level Death Breath!]

Zach had to admit that the ability to extract infinitely, combined with the system's automatic SSS-level upgrades, made him nearly invincible.

Even if monsters wiped out all humanity, Zach wouldn't have to worry about the lack of skill sources.

[Calling…]

[Successful summoning! Congratulations to the host for obtaining the Undead Bone Dragon!]

After the system prompt, a giant shadow spread its wings and flew out from the pile of bones. As the bones collapsed, the undead bone dragon soared in front of Zach, landing gracefully and bowing its head in submission.

Just as this happened, the vortex gate fully opened.

Zach looked up, expecting something more.

"Another dragon?" he mused.

"No! Five?"

To be precise, five dragon heads shared one body.

Three black heads, one with a reddish base, a blue one, and a white one.

The heads were all unique—some covered in spikes, some with large ears, and others with horns on the side, bending forward like goat horns.

This creature was more lizard-like than dragon-like, far from Zach's traditional idea of a mythical dragon.

It was a massive lizard.

Its terrifying presence was less about actual power and more about its sheer size, which would have been formidable for an ordinary creature.

With a sweep of its wings, the creature loomed over Zach, as if it believed its size made it superior.

Boom! Boom! Boom!!

The spiky black dragon head opened its mouth, releasing a bright yellow flame that shot straight at Zach.

Without hesitation, the undead bone dragon shot forward, instinctively protecting its master. Its mouth opened, releasing a Death Breath as black as ink, which overwhelmed the flames of the black dragon head.

The other two black dragon heads, one with large ears and the other with goat horns, followed suit and launched their own flames, merging into one massive inferno.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

As the saying goes, "two fists are hard to beat four hands," and the undead bone dragon, with only one head, began to fall behind.

Even though Zach's undead would not disappear permanently, and could be resummoned, there was no reason to let his bone dragon be overwhelmed.

With a sudden surge, the golden thunder spear appeared once again in his hand. The thunder crackled as he waited for the right moment.

Boom!!

The spiked black dragon head was caught off guard and sliced clean off, crashing to the ground.

With one head lost, the undead bone dragon regained some ground and was able to resist the combined attacks.

One dragon against two—Zach was content with the outcome so far.

But the white and blue dragon heads weren't done yet. The white head shot a column of water, while the blue one exhaled a breath of frost, attempting to freeze Zach in his tracks.

Zach, however, was not interested in prolonging the battle. He intended to end it swiftly.

He spread his arms wide, and from the dark clouds above, sharp thunder spears extended into view—over a thousand in total!

Each spear was as powerful as the golden thunder spear he had used earlier.

Zach wondered if the five-headed dragon could withstand such a relentless barrage.

To his surprise, the five-headed dragon suddenly halted its attacks.

Despite not having human-like expressions, Zach could sense the dragon's fear!

This was strange…

Why were the monsters afraid?

Weren't they supposed to be emotionless killing machines?

Zach didn't understand why this high-level creature exhibited such behavior, but it suggested that maybe more advanced monsters possessed greater wisdom.

Regardless of the reason, emotions, especially fear, were detrimental in this post-apocalyptic world.

With no more hesitation, Zach raised his hand and brought it down with force.

Boom! Boom! Boom…

A relentless storm of thunder spears rained down on the dragon!
