''She is perfectly fine, she can be able to go home'' The doctor said
''What about her voice?'' Oliver asks as he looks at Ella to see no change in expression when he asks, he wants to know if she is faking it or if something is wrong with her voice
''Her voice will come back later but there's no telling when she has a condition that is similar to laryngitis'' The doctor said
''Laryngitis'' Oliver asked
''Laryngitis is an inflammation of your voice box (larynx) from overuse, irritation, or infection. Inside the larynx are your vocal cords — two folds of mucous membrane covering muscle and cartilage. Normally, your vocal cords open and close smoothly, forming sounds through movement and vibration.
But with laryngitis, your vocal cords become inflamed or irritated. This swells the vocal cords, distorting the sounds produced by air passing over them. As a result, your voice sounds hoarse. In some cases of laryngitis, your voice can become almost undetectable.
Laryngitis may be short-lived (acute) or long-lasting (chronic). A temporary viral infection triggers most cases of laryngitis and isn't serious. Persistent hoarseness can sometimes signal a more serious underlying medical condition.
But her condition might be laryngitis or something close to it, As I have said can be short-lived which means you lose your voice for a short period and then get it back but her condition is that she loses her voice, gets it back for a short period then loses it again and it continues like that till her condition is cured''
''Is there a cure for it'' Oliver asked
''I'm not sure, maybe if you use the same method to cure laryngitis it might work but I'm sure she might have tried that and it didn't work, or her vocal cord is trying to repair itself and when it has been repaired she will be able to talk again'' The doctor said
Oliver didn't say anything and dismissed him, the doctor left leaving only Oliver and Ella ''I must say your family can hide things very well, Did you ever plan on telling me about your condition'' Oliver said but didn't get any response from Ella like as if no one is talking to her but Oliver didn't mind and continued ''Who knows if you have told me earlier I would have gotten the best doctors to start working on your condition and we would have been in the process of getting a cure for you''
Oliver got a reaction from Ella when he said that, who turned to look at him and said in sign language ''I don't believe you, and even if you do that I don't want anything from you and I would definitely not collect it''
