Chapter 104 - Ch. 101 - The Holy War

"Where is he?!" The Angel got irritated and grabbed a nearby human before asking for Jin's whereabouts.

"I-I don- acck!" The human struggled in the grip of the Angel, but it was futile as the latter simply threw him away like trash.

"As usual, humans are nothing but a bunch of mortals." The Angel snickered.

Meanwhile, everyone was running away from the battlefield, especially from him. His actions went against all of their expectations. They were expecting him to be a justice filled and kind individual but why does he seem to be more evil than the devil himself?

"So much for being a 'pure' being. Seriously, why haven't you fallen until now?" Suddenly, Jin entered the scene once again and witnessed the abuse that the angel is doing. To be honest, he was truly confused as what the Angel is doing went completely against everything that he used to believe in. At this rate, the angel should've fallen right?

"Me? Falling? That is impossible! As long as we believe that what we are doing is for the greater good, especially if it is necessary just to kill a devil, I will not fall and will never forever!" The Angel aggressively responded before lifting his long golden Battle-axe up above his head.

"Now, give up and surrender your life for the name of Justice!" The Angel yelled before bringing down his battle-axe towards the air in front of him.

Just as Jin was about to be confused about the reason why, his eyes widened in surprise when he saw a large golden energy slash in the shape of an arc, kind of similar to the sword slashes in the world of One Piece.

Although Jin was stunned, he was still able to react in time and let the Holy Slash pass him by tilting his body sideward.

*Huumm!*

He could even hear the air reverberating as the Holy Slash passes by him, indicating just how strong the Holy Slash is.

At the same time, his head is running at full capacity. He has so many questions right now he needs answers.

First of all, how did an Angel find him here? No, scratch that, the real question is why is there an angel in this world without being informed by God?

'Sigh, now that I asked this question to myself, I finally realized my mistake. I think I have been relying too much on him for informing me in such things. I feel like a spoiled child right now.' Jin facepalms himself at the realization.

***

While Jin was having his moment of enlightenment, God was nodding his head several times when he heard his thoughts.

'Ahh, finally you won't have to make the same mistake as the last time you did." God scratched his beard and said in mysteriousness. As for the meaning in his words? Only time would tell.

***

Back in the battle, the Holy Slash turns out to be more destructive than he expected as the entire south side of Arendelle was slashed into pieces and if this goes in, it won't take long before the entire Kingdom will fall into ruins.

'This can't do. I need to somehow bring the fight outside.' Jin analyzed the cause of their fight and realized that he can't let the Kingdom take the full blunt of their fight.

'Since his goal all this time is me, then surely he would chase after me, right?' Deciding to test his theory, quickly turned his back to the Angel.

Using his wings, Jin quickly flew away from the Angel, letting himself be a free target for the Angel.

As he expected, the Angel did chase after him and threw several spears made of Holy light towards him.

Jin simply dodged them all thanks to his sharp senses, though it is mostly due to the heat that he felt whenever a spear of holy light was getting closer to him which signals him to tilt his body sideways to evade.

"Come back here you venomous creature! Face retribution for your existence!" The Angel shouted as he gave chase on him.

If someone were to look at the sky right now, they would only see a trail of black and gold blurs chasing in the skies while heading outside the walls of Arendelle.

***

"This place should be good enough." Jin looked around and saw no one except for them.

"Done running, you vile creature?" The Angel also stopped in his tracks and thought that Jin was tired of running.

"I was never running. I was just finding a good place for us to fight." Jin replies with a grin as he turns around and faces his opposite race.

"No more excuses for you." The Angel was still under the illusion that he is superior to Jin, thinking that Jin was merely a small devil like the ones he used to kill in the past.

"I wasn't making excuses. I was just telling you the last words you will hear before you die." Jin spoke up in return before releasing his Blades of Havoc and twirling them around his body in a few swings.

"Hmph." The Angel harrumphs before dashing forward and swung his battle-axe towards Jin.

Jin reciprocated by blocking the swing with one of his Blades while using the other one to slash the Angel towards his neck.

Although the Angel flew back to dodge, at least Jin knows how to strike on the head instead of his body unlike a certain thunder god.

"It's just luck." The Angel muttered while looking at the small hem on his cloth, a small cut could be seen from Jin's counter slash on him earlier. While thinking to himself that Jin just got lucky.

"Applause yourself for I am about to take this fight seriously now, you foul creature." Despite raising his head in seriousness, the Angel still maintains his arrogance and confidence which somewhat irks Jin a little bit.

"Serious or not. Nothing will change." Meanwhile, Jin's pride in his devil form is slowly peaking the more he maintains this form, so his reply has a tinge of pride and also arrogance.

"How arrogant." The Angel responded in return.

"I miss the part where that's my problem." Jin replied before taking the first strike.

*Rattle!*

Throwing both of the blades towards the angel, the chains of his blades rattled as the speeding blades were a few meters away from the Angel.

"Throwing your weapon is cowardly. What did I expect from a devil." The Angel said before using his battle-axe to not only block the blades but also used its chains to lock it around his weapon's handle.

Seeing what happened, Jin tried to pull his weapon back but to no avail, the angel seemed to have predicted this and has a smug smile on his face.

"You think you're the only one who attaches chains in his weapons? How original." The Angel spoke in mockery before smirking and pulling his battle-axe very hard, causing the chains to snap and extend to its maximum length.

*Snap!*

*Rattle!*

Jin quickly tried to balance the force and pull his chains back, unfortunately the angel seems to have greater strength than him when it comes to physical force.

"How pathetic." The Angel muttered in disgust, though he was surprised that Jin managed to resist him.

As far as he lived, one thing has always been certain in his mind. And that is Angels are physically stronger than devils while the devils are mentally stronger than the angels. That's a fact that has been going on in the war between Angels and Devils.

'But the Devils lost the war eons ago, they lost their creator which has made them weaker than normal. How come this devil is slightly stronger than what a devil should be.' Questions were being raised in the Angel's head.

During the greatest war of all time, which is called the Holy War, a war between the children of God and the children of a being known as the First Devil or Primordial Devil as some call him.

It was known that the First Devil used to be a child of God, until he fell from grace for some unknown reason, who then created the race called Devils, the exact opposite of the angels.

It was never known how he fell and how he managed to rise from the ashes and declared war on God and his children.

The war escalated and affected countless universes, destroying a few universes at the process.

There is one thing that is confusing about the war though. Before the end of the war, it was clearly known and shown to everyone that the devils are at the advantage and almost on the verge of winning the war but before they could deal the final blow to the Angel's side. The First Devil suddenly disappeared and was reported to have died without anyone knowing how or why.

There were some rumors that The First Devil and the Almighty God secretly fought behind the scenes and resulted in The First Devil's death.

Unfortunately, the Almighty God kept quiet about this matter and simply retreated in his humble abode, without talking to anyone anymore, not even to the closest angel who has been by his side from the moment he created the angels. His name is Michael, the Archangel Michael himself, known by many names, Chief Prince, Chief Messenger or The Strongest Angel.

He was also known to be the closest brother of The First Devil, Lucifer or Samael before he fell.

[Things are slightly getting out of hand. A hidden past is slowly being revealed.]

[I wonder how Jin is related to it? Hmm...]
