[MAGIC CAPABILITY]
It is the amount of magic that can be accumulated and increases with the passing of the years. For example, if your magic capability is 200, that means you can accumulate up to two hundred magic units. If you spend 20 on a spell, you will have 180 left, which will regenerate over time until you get back to 200.
.
.
[MAGIC UNITS / MU]
It is the amount of magic itself accumulated according to your magic capability.
.
.
[MAGIC AFFINITY]
It is the affinity that all living beings have for using magic. As a crude example, if we say that someone with a magic capability of 200 MU has a medium affinity for magic. That means he can only use up to around 100 MU. Of course, if someone doesn't have an affinity for magic (most living beings don't), they can't use magic at all.
.
.
[MAGIC APTITUDE]
If magic affinity refers to your ability to use magic. When we talk about magic aptitude, it means how well you can use that amount of magic, specifically, the potential of each one of your magic units. The two terms usually go hand in hand, but there are cases, such as with the elves, who, as a race, have exceptional magic aptitude, but while they also have one of the largest numbers of people with affinities for magic, that number is still scarce. That means you can have a talent for using magic while not having the ability to actually use it. Think of an elf without magic affinity as a Formula One driver without a car.
.
.
[MAGIC APTITUDE/AFFINITY/CAPABILITY/UNITS]
Like in the example we gave previously, in the "car" that is a magician, think that "Magic Aptitude" is the ability of the driver, "Magic Affinity" is the engine of the car, "Magic Capability" is the size of the gas tank, and "Magic Units" are the gas itself.
.
.
[MAGICIAN]
The living beings with magic affinity, which in turn allows them to use magic. The ranks from minor to major are as follows:
-Magic Apprentice
-Spellcaster
-Sorcerer
-Wizard
-Mage
-Great Mage
-Archmage
-Sage
-God of Magic
.
.
[ORIGINAL HUMANS]
The humans who lived on earth in the times of technology. Besides the Gifts and the appraisal skill, they were granted perfect affinity for magic.
.
.
Divine magic created using the power of life itself. They are divided into "Skills" and "Artifacts." The Gifts were made with the power of life itself and far exceed any magic item or spell of today.
.
.
[ARTIFACTS]
Extraordinary objects with capabilities far superior to those of a normal magic item.
.
.
[SKILLS]
Extraordinary abilities. Like the immortality of the protagonist. In sporadic cases, they can still appear in living beings today, and this is not just limited to humans.
.
.
[MAGIC ITEMS]
Objects, which, as their name indicates, are capable of producing magic. They are inferior to the artifacts (on which they were based).
.
.
[SPELLS]
Like the magic items with the artifacts, the spells were born with the intention of replicating the skills but with results quite far from the desired ones.
.
.
[THE CONNECTION]
The union between an artifact and its owner. Whoever establishes the connection has complete control over an artifact; this does not prevent the artifact from being used by other people with the owner's permission.
.
.
[CHURCH OF THE MOTHER GODDESS]
The largest religion on three continents. It's based around the goddess Ephereia, who they consider the creator of everything.
.
.
[AFTER ADVENT / A.A.]
The calendar used by the believers of the Goddess. It starts in the year in which Ephereia "created" the world. It is surprisingly accurate in its dates.
