Coach Thompson watched as the senior class eagerly divided into two teams. Kilin and Keele obviously chose to be on the same team. While she was setting up the boundary using cones as field markers, Ross walked over to her.
He took one of the cones from her while saying, "Let me help you with that."
Kilin wanted to say it was fine but when she saw it was Ross she was a little surprised. "What are you doing here?'' she asked while turning her head back after feeling an intense gaze burrowing through her skin but she didn't see anyone.
Ross glanced at Arwen who was massaging Keele's shoulders at her request before looking back at Kilin. "Are those two a couple?" he asked while placing the cone down.
"What who?... Them? No," she replied only to realise that she had answered hastily. How was Keele's business any interest to him?
"Oh," he replied as he followed after her. "What about you and him?"
