Chapter 89 - System offline

The submarine plunged deeper into the dark abyss of the ocean, its steel hull creaking under the immense pressure.

Prince stood at the helm, his eyes bloodshot and hands trembling. Around him, his crewmates lay injured and half-dead, their moans and gasps of pain filling the cramped space. The encounter with the navy had been brutal, and they had barely escaped with their lives.

Prince's trusted mate, jack, leaned against the wall, clutching his bleeding arm. "Captain," he croaked, his voice strained.

"What do we do now? We can't stay here forever."

Prince's brows furrowed as he scanned the control panel.

"We need to find a safe haven, somewhere the navy won't suspect. We'll tend to the wounded first, though. Is there a medic among us?"

A young crewmate named Amelia, her face smeared with dirt and blood, raised her trembling hand. "I have some basic medical training, sir. I'll do what I can."

"Good," Prince replied, his voice filled with gratitude. "We'll need you now more than ever."

Amelia began tending to the wounded, doing her best to clean and bandage their wounds. Prince paced back and forth, his mind racing with thoughts of their predicament.

They were wounded, outnumbered, and had no clear direction.

The crew's fear and desperation were palpable.

One crewmate, a grizzled veteran named Jackson, limped towards Prince, clutching his side. "Captain, we need to make a decision. We can't stay adrift like this."

Prince nodded, his jaw clenched in determination.

"You're right, Jackson. We'll gather everyone once the wounded are stable, and we'll discuss our options. Until then, we hold tight and stay vigilant."

Hours passed, and the wounded were as comfortable as they could be in the cramped submarine.

Prince called the crew together in the dimly lit control room, their faces etched with worry.

"Listen up, everyone," Prince began, his voice steady.

"We're in a dire situation. We have no allies, no safe harbor. But we can't give up. We're dark pirates...at least some hours ego"

his last words were very low so nobody was able to hear them.

A murmur of agreement rippled through the room.

"Our immediate priority is to heal and get back on our feet. We'll need volunteers for helping. Once that's done, we'll regroup and strategize our next move."

...

The crew exchanged nervous glances, but they nodded in agreement, ready to face the challenges ahead.

The crew dispersed, some heading to their bunks to rest, while others joined james in the arduous task of watching duty. Prince stood alone, gazing out into the murky depths of the ocean.

The weight of responsibility pressed heavily on his shoulders, but he refused to let despair consume him, because some words echoed through his ears...

...

Some hours ego...

[ Totel doom : you have failed miserably, you are not worthy of being a captain, therefore you are no longer a pirate ]

[ The system is going to shut down, to start it back, do something that will make the system recognise you again, be careful it's not going offline completely, it will continue to monitor user in background. if you have any last words then it's your chance ]

"Fuck...."

[ System offline ]

"What? i want to say more, Hyy come again i want to check my status"

The system had gone offline and even after shouting like crazy for some time, when he did not get any answer,  Prince realized that he would have to do something so that he would come in the eyes of the system. But what?

...

As the hours turned into days. Gradually, the wounds began to heal, and the fear subsided, replaced by a flicker of hope. Prince found solace in their resilience, their unwavering loyalty to him and their shared goal of survival.

"Haaah..at least they are still with me and loyal, i think i am still a captain but just system is not recognising me, and maybe world too..."
