Lance: I believe strength is the only way to become a true master, that's why I use dragons. Aerodactyl, Rock Slide!
Rocks fall from the sky on the group but Wart is able to protect Leon and Ivy with his shell. Rai uses the rocks as leverage to get up to Aerodactyl and hit it with a Thunder, dealing big damage.
Lance: Now Aerodactyl, Hyper Beam!
Rai is completely obliterated by the point blank attack.
Lance: Dragonite, Outrage!
Dragonite beats on the three left, leaving them too weak to retaliate when the attack ends and Dragonite is confused.
Lance: Charizard, Overheat!
Wart manages to move in the way of the attack, leaving it to do next to nothing.
Wart: Guess those drawbacks are piling up.
Lance: I was hoping to get this over with before that could happen but I guess not. Everyone, Hyperbeam.
His three remaining Pokémon fire off another Hyperbeam and the group manages to dodge it.
Leon: That should give us some time.
Ivy: Leon, looking at how Lance battles gave me an idea.
Leon: I'm all ears.
Ivy: Did Otto's mom or Moltres ever teach you a move that's kinda like Hyperbeam? An extremely powerful move that requires you to recharge afterwards?
Leon: Yeah, miss Geo did.
Ivy: Oak taught me and Wart each one too, told us to only use it in emergency situations.
Leon: Same here. I think this situation is enough of an emergency.
Ivy: Just what I was thinking.
Lance: Alright everyone, again Hyperbeam!
Wart: Hydro Cannon!
Ivy: Frenzy Plant!
Leon: Blast Burn!
The three attacks culminate into one ultimate attack to match the triple Hyperbeam. Lance's Pokémon would have been able to overpower them, but the drop in power output from his Charizard was enough to give the group an edge and knock out all three of Lance's remaining Pokémon.
Announcer: That's it! That's the last Elite 4 member! If not for the current champion's performance two years ago, I would say that this has been the greatest four battles in Indigo League history!
Lance: I can't tell if this really is a lost on my end. Yes I lost the battle but I drew out power you were hiding this entire time. I think that's a win for me.
