They walk into the champion arena to see something unexpected. A single Pokéman. He had pale, almost gray skin matching his labcoat and had purple hair to match his long tail.
Announcer: It's time for this year's group of superstars to face off against the current champion! He manage to sweep past the entire Elite 4 all on his own two years ago, many regard him the strongest champion in the Indigo League's history, Mewtwo!
Leon: Wait, you're Mewtwo!?
Mewtwo: You've heard of me? Most don't know even my name.
Leon: You're the ultimate Pokéman Mr. Fuji and Team Rocket worked on-
Mewtwo chokes him with his psychic energy.
Mewtwo: Don't you dare speak those names.
Announcer: Mr. Mewtwo, please don't attack the challengers until the match has started.
Reluctantly, Mewtwo puts Leon down and the Announcer sprays a Full Restore on him.
Announcer: Sorry about that. Anyways, champion Mewtwo, are you ready?
Mewtwo: Yes.
Announcer: Challengers, are you ready?
Everyone: Yeah.
Announcer: Alright, you may begin!
Mewtwo immediately starts the battle off by using a powerful Psystrike, releasing immense amounts of Psychic energy. The attack drops the group down to their knees.
Mewtwo: What do you know about my birth?
Leon: You were created as the ultimate weapon but destroyed the lab you were created in.
Mewtwo: Almost correct. While yes I killed the scientists who created me, I was not born to be the ultimate weapon. I am the ultimate creature. Taking cells from the progenitor of all Pokémon, I take the best quality of both Pokémon and Pokéman. The intelligence of a Pokéman combined with the raw, animalistic strength of a Pokémon. Truely perfection.
Rai attempts to sneak attack Mewtwo but is thrown into a wall by it's psychic energy.
Mewtwo: Get up you fools.
He picks them all up one by one Psychic and swirls them around his body. Eventually he releases them by throwing them into the walls.
Una: Guys, get over here!
She creates a protective barrier around herself and her friends.
Una: He shouldn't be able to get through this. That should buy us some time to come up with a plan-
Mewtwo: You really think this could stop me?
He pulls everyone of them out from the barrier and crumbles it behind them.
Una: No one's ever been able to break one of my barriers so quickly...
Mewtwo: Do you finally get it now? The distance in our strength is that of the smallest atom on this planet all the way to the sun.
Otto uses Fly to drag Mewtwo into the air but she's hit with a Disable, paralyzing her and dropping Mewtwo down to the ground. Ivy and Wart jump at Mewtwo but he catches them both.
Mewtwo: Why continue with these fruitless efforts?
He's about to throw him but senses Leon behind him. He reacts too late and is hit in the face with a critical Fire Blast.
Leon: Because we've come too far to stop now!
