Ivy tries to use Leech Seed but Dewgong freezes them in the air before they reach Lorelei's side of the field. Wart uses this opportunity to try and Rapid Spin into the Pokémon and even manages to hit Cloyster before being frozen by an Ice Beam from Jynx. Rai uses the wet floor to electrocute Lorelei's Pokémon and deal the first real damage to the opposing team.
Lorelei: Lapras, use Dragon Pulse.
Lapras releases a shock wave of draconic energy from it's mouth knocking down Ivy. Wart finally defrost himself and uses Hydro Pump on Dewgong. Dewgong tries to freeze Wart's water but he grabs the ice and swings them around, slamming them into Dewgong and Cloyster.
Lorelei: Hmm... I can't really tell what to say. Your raw strength is incredible and you have great strategy but as I said, you lack teamwork. If you could just get that little bit more in sync with each other then you could- Wait, is it getting hotter in here?
Leon finally gets up after spending his time increasing the temperature of the room.
Leon: You're right, teamwork is really important, so how about I take away your Pokémon's ability to work together?
Lorelei's Pokémon become weaken due to the temperature shift.
Una: Rai, do it now!
As everyone else were fighting, Una managed to set up strings around the room.
Rai: String Shot & Thunder Combo: Yellow Rocket!
Rai covers his body with Thunder and uses the strings to bounce around the area striking down Lorelei's team. By the end of Rai's assault, her Slowbro was knocked out and the rest of her team have been heavily weaken. The attack also created an electrical field around Lorelei's team, slowing them down.
Una: My bad I couldn't set it up quicker, Wart ruined all my progress when he swung those ice pillars around.
Wart: Sorry...
Rai: It's fine, I'm just happy we got to use the special technique Zapdos taught us.
Lorelei: You trained under a legendary Pokémon? Very impressive. Jynx, use Helping Hand.
Leon: Oh no you don't!
Leon hits Jynx with a Fire Blast to stop it from boosting her team. He wasn't fast enough and before Jynx was knocked out, Cloyster, Dewgong, and Lapras gained incredible power.
Lorelei: Cloyster and Dewgong, use Hydro Pump. Lapras, use Ice Beam: Absolute Zero
Cloyster's and Dewgong's attack merge together to create a massive beam of water. Lapras uses a technique that applies the properties of Sheer Cold to Ice Beam, creating an attack that knocks out any opponent in one shot. The Ice Beam wraps around the Hydro Pump to become a dangerously strong attack. Leon and Wart jump in the way to protect them others from the attack.
Leon & Wart: Do it you guys!
Both Leon and Wart are completely frozen and Ivy, Una, and Rai take the opportunity to strike down the rest of Lorelei's Pokémon, ending the first battle of Elite 4.
