We already knew about the quarterly assessment exams as stated in the academy's handbook.
As she said, the first of the four was fast approaching.

The bell went off, blaring through the classrooms.
Miss Dorian glanced up and back at us.
"That will be all for today. Class is dismissed."
As Miss Dorian made her way out of the class, the rest of the class started to flock around me little by little.
