'She thought it was someone else, someone close enough that she could hit freely.' Jayce thought with a straight face. The air in the apartment had a lingering smell, it was obvious that two people had been here earlier and they didn't smell human in any way. He glanced at Elizabeth, who was sitting opposite him, she had her eyes on the ceiling, lost in thought. 'What kind of people is she involved with? The little kitten never failed to attract trouble.'
"Liz." He called.
"Huh? Yes?"
"I'm sorry I couldn't take your call yesterday." His eyes dropped.
"I said it was fine, you don't have to blame yourself every time, and what did I tell you about apologising everytime?" Squinting her eyes, she pointed at him, "Don't apologise over every single thing, it's annoying."
