"So you know Grewert street?" The man asked, picking up a nonsensical conversation.
"Yes." Elizabeth replied with a straight face. Whatever was going on was not to any off her concern, she would drop the young man off at Grewert street, nothing more.
"Really?" The man asked and added without waiting for a reply, "Not a lot of people would choose to go to Grewert street by this time of the night, except they know nothing about the street."
"What's so special about it?" Elizabeth was so uninterested in the conversation that she failed to notice his voice getting deeper, slowly matching with his manly stature.
"It's quite scary…" The man paused and continued, "But it baffles me that a person who claims to know a location still uses a GPS." His voice was even colder at the end of his statement.
"One can never be too sure." Elizabeth gave a short reply and stepped on the gas pedal, the man in the cat with her was giving her chills thus she couldn't wait to drop him off at wherever.
"Who are you?" The man raised his voice when he noticed that she was driving even faster.
"What? Even if I say I'm a cop, what are you gonna do about it?" Elizabeth chuckled in amusement but those words broke the last string of patience the man had. In panic, he pulled out a pocket knife from his bag and threw the bag away.
"Dammit." Elizabeth, who had seen his movement through the rear view mirror pressed even harder on the gas pedal, causing the man, who had forgotten to put on his seat belt to jerk up and collide with the driver's seat. The knife on his hand fell down from the impact.
Elizabeth glanced at the GPS one more time and breathed deeply when she saw that the location was nearby, she drove past the speed limit. The man held tightly onto the seat, while using his other hand to search for the fallen knife. He soon gave up the search and picked up his stiletto instead, the heel was long enough to indent a hole in an adult human's head if swung with enough strength and the top piece was sharp enough to drive through a person's head.
In her defence, she crouched down a little to dodge the incoming heel, and stepped harder on the gas pedal, making a swift turn, the man lost his balance due to the speed and crashed on the unlocked door, quickly falling out of the car that was turning at full speed.
She turned to the passenger's seat and just like she thought, the man was no longer in the car and the car door was wide open.
Elizabeth turned off her headlights and got out of the car, she walked to the trunk and carried a short, thin but slightly heavy iron rod.
The dust that had risen due to the swift turn she made was slowly settling down and admist the settling dust, Elizabeth could see a limping silhouette, she sighed and placed her hand behind her back, she slowly spinned the iron rod in her hand. It gave one the feeling of a maniac killer chasing after a young teenager in the dark woods, Elizabeth chuckled at this thought, she knew very well that if anything at all, she was the prey and the real predator was bigger than she could ever imagine.
She starred at her feet, and walked towards the direction where the man was limping to, she flexed the rod as she went closer. But at that moment, a hand grabbed her arm.
"Dammit, let go!" Elizabeth swung the rod, hitting the man hard on his nose, he stumbled back and touched his bleeding nose, Elizabeth could swear that she saw his teeth fall off.
Elizabeth moved a few steps back, "Why are you trying to run away, dear package?"
A small thought infiltrated her mind, maybe the Noel preferred men dressed up as ladies.
She cringed and pointed at the man, repeating her question, "Why are you trying to run away?"
"Asked the cop." The man chuckled sarcastically and spat out a mouthful of blood.
"You're scared because I'm a cop?" Elizabeth frowned and furrowed her brows, "Or do you have a criminal record?" She squinted her eyes.
He slowly stood up, he threw away the feminine facade and put on a straight face, his feminine voice became deeper and more masculine.
"I don't like cops." He said in a cold voice, his eyes shone darkly and he charged forward to tackle her but Elizabeth she aimlessly flung the rod without second thoughts. The man parried a few times but was hit in the head more times than he parried the attack.
Shortly after, Elizabeth was standing above a body, she panted heavily with the bloodied rod in her hand. The person on the ground was still breathing but his face was smudged with thick makeup and blood.
"I don't think I'll ever get used to knocking people out." Elizabeth yawned, she didn't feel as terrible as she felt when she knocked out that drunk man.
She held his hand and dragged his body to her car. She drove to the direction she was supposed to deliver the person, she pushed him out of the car in the desolate area and drove off.
Humming a light song, she drove back to her apartment. Elizabeth had decide to live her life normally until she defeats the mysterious man, she wouldn't worry or feel sacred, she just play by his rules until she find out who he really is.
As soon as she reached her room, she pulled out her phone and texted her 'boss', Noel Cassius.
*Done*
She then threw the phone aside and carried a cold drink from the fridge, she switched on her laptop and took a sip from her drink before searching a name on the web.
*Noel Cassius*
If a person was that powerful, he should be quite popular or at least have a well-known relative.
