Her stats seemed okayish.
" And there is also this bar of exp, which is half filled, " Stephanie said.
The atmosphere all around was calm, but one could hear intermittent screams of dyinh humans who most likely were Alex's schoolmates.
" So, we need to kill them to grow stronger? "
" Yes, " Alex nodded.
" Alex, you should have killed that guy, you're personally more of a burden with your weak body. Did you never exercise in your life? " Stephanie said as she held Alex's hand.
" Fuck off Stephanie! You're burden, your whole family is burden! I didn't kill that zombie, because I won't get any exp from killing it, " Alex said.
" Why is that? " Stella asked trying to calm down two arguing kids.
" Because I'm not from this world, " Alex said.
" Huh? Hahaha. Nice try to liven up the atmosphere with such a lame joke, " Stephanie laughed.
" Why don't you close your mouth and go out there to kill some zombies, " Alex glared.
" But, they're too fast and strong! " Stephanie complained, she couldn't help but shudder at the thought of zombies.
She just now noticed that because of Alex she was being very chill.
His presence... It made her feel safe. It was love... she could feel it. She cared for this weak looking boy.
Her knowledge of Alex was very limited.
She always thought of him as a silent kid who never spoke. She wondered if he did so, because he was different from everyone.
But, that was all she thought about Alex.
But, now everything she thought about was Alex. Like everything!
She felt that he was even more important than her parents, who raised her and loved her.
" They're fast, but you'll grow faster with level up. You just need to kill more of them. You too Stella, " Alex said.
" I understand, Alex. For you... I'll do that, " Stella nodded seriously.
" What do you mean by for him? Aren't you married? Anyway, I'll be the first one to level up and protect Alex as he is my boyfriend, " Stephanie said.
" You lying brat! A-Alex, I was only engaged... " Stella didn't want Alex to misunderstand.
" Stop this. You two need to get stronger, otherwise you two and I, all will die, " Alex said as he flicked Stella and Stephanie's forhear.
He didn't care about their pasts, for him they were tools for survival.
" Ouch, so are we going out? " Stephanie asked.
" Yes, but not like this. Stella needs a weapon and me too, " Alex said.
" Ah. There is one more weapon here, " Stella said as she brought an axe from somewhere.
She had taken it while running here.
" Good work Stella, now I need one weapon. Look for something that I can carry, " Alex said cheerfully.
" Umm. Okay! " Like this all three of them started looking for something that will help.
And like this Alex was given a steel rod, it wasn't sharp neither it was heavy.
But, Alex knew that he could make the best use of it.
" So, we're going out right now, " Alex said.
He first went near the window and checked outside.
The windows of the science lab were in perpendicular direction to the impact of aeroplane crash, so windows here weren't broken.
As Alex saw that the hallway outside the lab was very silent.
" It's silent. Because staircases are far from here, " Stella said guessing what Alex was thinking.
" You're right, " Alex said relieved.
He was confident in his survival skills, but still he didn't want to die because of small mistake.
After careful consideration, they removed the barricade around.
Alex was just about to open the door.
" Wait, I'll do it... " Stephanie blushed and said.
She couldn't help but be worried about Alex.
" Okay, " Alex shamelessly let Stephanie go out, making her pout.
" Just how much you love your life... " She said.
" Not more than you of course, " Alex said a cheesy line, gaining a glare from Stella, " You too Stella. I can't get enough of your love. "
" That's better, " Stella nodded.
Stephanie stepped out and saw that there was complete silence around.
But, just then a loud scream of zombie was heard.
" Kyaa! " Stephanie shrieked as she in panic missed the door and ran towards the washroom which was at the end of the hallway.
The zombie was hiding in the blind spot of windows, so Alex and others didn't notice it.
Alex was relieved that he didn't risk his life.
But, he then tsked.
He knew that he couldn't expect everything from these girls from the start.
But, still he was disappointed.
He would of course need to replace them at some point.
" Stella, come out and help me, " Alex said.
As soon as the zombie was about to pass in front of the science lab, Alex rushed out with his steel rod.
He aimed it at the zombie's neck and pushed it towards the wall opposite.
With perfect use of his whole body weight, he was able to stop the zombie like this for few seconds.
Stella who was on guard, stumbled forward quickly.
Her movements were amateur, but her opponent was a mindless zombie held down by Alex.
She just aimed her axe at the zombie's head and slashed down.
The next slash came and then next.
Stella took only three slashes to kill the zombie.
" I-I am sorry, " Stephanie who ran back with tears in her eyes said.
Alex quickly pulled her inside the science lab, and closed the door.
Soon, sound of footsteps was heard by them.
And at least two dozens of zombies had appeared right outside the science lab.
They looked around for a moment and some of them returned.
Some of them went towards the washroom, and three of them stayed right outside the door.
" I'm also level zero... " Stella said and told Alex about her status screen which had popped out after killing the zombie.

Stella didn't say about all of her skills, because she seemed embarrassed.
She also felt down because her stats were lower than Stephanie's.
Well, she couldn't be blamed because Stephanie was an athletic player while she herself was an average nurse.
" How are we going to kill them? There are so many of them out there now? " Stephanie asked after a moment.
" We need to create a trap, " Alex said as he looked at the window in the back of the science lab.
He made a plan.
After 10 minutes, the number of zombies right outside was same.
Alex's trap was ready.
" Will it really work? " Stella asked worried.
" It will definitely... You remember what to do right? "
" Y-Yes... " Stella and Stephanie nodded nervously.
Alex opened the door with the help of string attached to it and as soon as he did, the zombies outside noticed him.
They growled loudly and rushed in!
But, as soon as they did they fell.
What Alex made was simple, a trap which will stop them from walking. A simple rope which was in their way!
The zombies weren't smart enough to understand that being on two legs gave them more advantage of having their hands free.
They now had no choice but to crawl towards Stella and Stephanie who were behind the small barricade which had only a small space to squeeze into.
But, their speed was no joke even while they crawles on all fours.
" Kill them! " Alex ordered as he restrained one of them who was forward than other two.
The ones behind that zombie tried to step upon his predecessor, but Stella and Stephanie were already ready as they brought down their axes on two of the three zombies.
Alex stood above the barricade to protect them, if a certain zombie suddenly was about to bite them.
He of course made sure that he was in safest position....
And just when the zombie Stella had chosen was about to move its body towards Stella.
Alex let the zombie he was restraining go for a moment,as he stabbed the zombie aiming at Stella with his rod and pushed it back, with the next hit of Stella the zombie died.
Stephanie's zombie had died by now and she was attacking the last one, which had climbed almost out of barricade as Alex had left it alone.
They had both levelled up once!
But, they had no time to do anything about the 5 extra stats they got.
" Add all of them to strength! " Alex ordered as soon as he heard this.
And as this happened, Stephanie killed the second zombie with just one next hit.
" I feel that the axe has gotten lighter, " Stella said.
" Add all your points to strength, until next some time, " Alex said.
Their hunt was going very well, as the zombies which had appeared on the floor started coming to them from all sides.
But, they couldn't overwhelm the barricade because their numbers were still low and their strength wasn't more than a normal human.
Stephanie and Stella killed zombies non stop until both of them had killed at least dozen each.
They both had levelled up again!
" Now stop adding your points to Strength and add 2 to agility and 3 to stamina, " Alex ordered like a professional gamer.
He had played lots of VRMMOs so he was experienced.
As soon as Stella and Stephanie added the points, their muscle fatigue decreased.
" Alex... They're... Endless... " Stephanie said with hurried breath, as she looked at the zombies now swarming the door.
These zombies seemed to be able to attract other zombies.
It won't be long before the barricade will be destroyed with their strength.
It would have been impossible for Stella and Stephanie to hold on till now if they didn't have Alex's timely help and increased stats.
Alex looked at the scene in deep thoughts.
He knew that these zombies were too weak, they had caught humans off guard, that was why cities were falling.
If these weak zombies kept rampaging, then by one or two days humans will take control, and if they could level up while doing so, then there was no meaning in this being an apocalypse.
These zombies will grow... May be stronger monsters will appear...
Alex knew this, " Keep killing until the barricade breaks. Slowly increase your dexterity as well. It will be helpful for you to escape to the washroom area. "
Stephanie and Stella gritted their teeth.
Their work was really tough.
They had to pay attention that the zombies won't scratch or bite them, so it was even more difficult to chop them while they climbed inside while forming a tower of corpses.
Their speed had decreased but they were still pretty fast.
By now, the barricade of chairs and tables had turned into the barricade of the dead bodies.
" Stephanie!!!! " Stella yelled suddenly, as a certain zombie climbed up on the dead tower and jumped directly upon Stephanie.
Stephanie barely avoided the man eater which fell on the ground.
The zombie which was supposed to be killed by her also bypassed barricade.
But, Stella slammed her axe at this zombie.
Stephanie killed the zombie which had jumped at her and levelled up.
She threw all her stats at Dexterity.
" Run now! " Alex yelled as he was already going outside the window.
" Wait for us you traitor! " Stella and Stephanie looked at their lover running away while letting them stop the wave for him.
They didn't have time to curse his ahamelessnes more.
Stella and Stephanie as well got out of the window and started climbing towards the washroom, from the outside of the building.
The zombies down them seemed to have noticed them, as they started swarming down there.
" Don't look down. If you fall you're dead, " Alex motivated them as he did almost impossible jump with his height and reached the washroom window.
For Stephanie and Stella as well it wasn't hard, as their stats had increased.
They had gotten used to their increased strength with increase in Dexterity.
" We're saved... " Stephanie sighed as she jumped down the window, followed by Stella.
Alex was right in front of them and they couldn't help but embrace him as soon as they saw him.
" You! How can you leave us alone there!?" Stephanie had tears in her eyes.
" Thank god, we're all safe. Alex must have done that so we will be not troubled with his safety, " Stella smiled wryly.
" No! I saw him! He had the look of the traitor! " Stephanie said as she started hitting Alex's chest. But, her punches carried no strength.
Alex sighed. At least this girl was considerate of his weak body.
Alex embraced Stephanie and motioned Stella to join in as well.
Both of them calmed down as they felt their lover's care and warmth, which of course was their imagination as Alex didn't give a fuck whether they lived or died.
" Sigh. If it wasn't for you, we would have died. So, I forgive you, " Stephanie said.
" I never was angry at you. So, it's okay, " Stella said.
In reply Alex's hand naturally crept up on their ass, Stella's ass was even naked. So he could feel its soft texture easily.
" Hey. Don't... " Stella moaned.
But, Stephanie thwarted away Alex's hand as she said, " There is someone there. "
Alex stopped as he looked at the certain direction.
It was the toilet booth inside the washroom, he also noticed that someone was there.
" It's not a zombie, " Stella said as she walked toward the booth.
" Hey. Are you a student? I'm nurse Stella, " Stella whispered gently.
" A-Are there zombies outside? " The small female voice came from behind the door.
Alex's ears perked up as he heard the voice.
" There aren't, " Stella said precisely.
Just then the door of the toilet opened.
From inside came out a beautiful girl, she had snow white skin different than Alex's pale one. She was tall and had naturally mesmerizing facial features.
Captivating eyes, ruby like nose, slightly red cheeks and oval face, she was just perfect.
She looked more like a model, than a student as even while trembling in fear, she came out of the toilet booth.
She was carrying toilet washer as a weapon, how idiotic.
" You didn't go with them sister Alina? I thought you will easily get the bus ride, " Alex said as he looked at his sister.
The memories of his predecessor came to him.
Those days where he was bullied by this girl.
Those days where he had to sleep without eating anything, just because this bitch wanted him to suffer.
Those days where she would make him the joke of the day, just to entertain her friends.
Those fucking days, where she would lock him in the closet and beat him up for whole day when something bad happened to her.
Alex was literally her punching bag, which she would use whenever she had her mood swings.
This mesmerizingly beautiful young girl of 16 was Alex's sister, Alina Mastiford.
As per his adoptive mother, the only child of Mastiford Family.
" A-Alex! ? You're alive?! " His sister asked as she was stunned to see Alex right outside.
But, she weirdly felt her racing heart calm down at his presence.
" Of course sister... I can't die without settling some things with some people I guess..." As Alex said with a smile.
" You! Thank God you're alive... " Before Alex could say more Alina hugged him.
" What happened? " Alex asked in confusion.
Was his sister taken over by some demon?

" Dad, Mom.... They're dead... We're the only ones alive, sob sob, " Alina broke down in Alex's embrace.
Alex was stunned, ' Those bastards? They died? They just fucking died?! Motherfucking sons of bitches! How could they die without me fucking with those assholes!? '
But, Alex calmly asked, " Who told you? "
" Mom just called me. She told me that, they might not make it. So, I should go back to our home and stay in bunker until everything calms down. She was in hurry and then, the call went off... Now, she isn't picking up. Sob Sob Alex... They're dead, " Alina sobbed.
Alex gritted his teeth, but he gently hugged Alina back and caressed her back.
" It's okay. It's okay. I'm here... " He seemed to have found a new way to take revenge.
Just fucking this girl's cunt wasn't enough, he would fuck her and then abandon her.
That will be the revenge befitting of his status.
