*Rosemary*
Several days had passed, and I couldn't stop worrying about Gael and Saffron.
"I'm sure they're fine, Rosie," Mrs. Daikiri said, placing a warm bowl of porridge in front of me.
I stared at the bowl. My stomach growled. "I'm not sure."
"Eat. You need to keep your strength up," she said, gently patting my back.
"Ma's right. Eat up so you can grow big and strong!"
I laughed. Pretty sure I was done growing. I nodded anyways and picked up the spoon.
"They'll be back before you know it," Mrs. Daikiri said, squeezing my hand.
I had hoped Saffron would have returned after a day or two. Although, I knew that was pipe dream from the beginning.
"I'm sure my son will return, I'm sure of that," she said, sitting down at the table.
"And Gael?"
She pursed her lips. "The Seven Hill Knights are a tough bunch. I'm sure he's doing his best."
