A commotion eventually broke out within the people on the ground floor. They murmured to each other as they planned their assets and resources if they could afford it.
Meanwhile, at the sight of the dagger Siphyr suddenly said, "Wouldn't this be a good gift for that girl, Yin Meira? Although, I don't know her that much to get close, I feel that we'll just get closer from here on. I'll buy this as a souvenir for her." Hearing his words, Liliane stared at Siphyr, jealousy could clearly be seen in her eyes.
But she soon became normal and looked away from him. Still, as Siphyr wasn't dense and could tell what she was thinking he smiled and noted to himself to get her a very important present later with Diane.
"The starting price for this dagger will be 200,000 gold coins!" The woman auctioned with the starting price of a hundred thousand below the average price of an elemental grade weapon.
However, there was no panic in her eyes as she knew most people here would fight for it and bid their all in order to get it.
But to her surprise and everyone else, someone from the VIP section on the second floor called out the price of his bid.
Naturally it was Siphyr and he shouted, "350,000 gold coins!" He already knew that elemental grade weapons at the lowest had the price of 300,000 gold coins, such was the reason he bid with a high price.
"3... 350,000 gold coins from VIP room 3! Anyone else?"
No one below wanted to offend someone on the second floor. After all, people there were all wealthier and much more powerful than them. It wasn't wise to compete with them. Even if the use of your authority is forbidden here.
"360,0000 gold coins!" One man from another room sounded for everyone's ears. His laugh itself was annoying just like his very existence.
"360,000 gold coins from VIP room 1! Any higher price?"
"400,000 gold coins!" Shouted Siphyr and he immediately added, "I will win the bid for this weapon, if you want to compare wealth then do it. I can go much higher and I'll only be spending a drop in from the ocean of coins I have. Or do you not want to bid for the remaining two?" He provoked him using his wealth that was none existent.
As a reply the man snickered at his annoying voice resounded once again, "Hahaha! What cheap provocations, if you want to bid just bid. Do you think I'm a fool that would give up from such cheap threats?" Afterwards he once again laughed mockingly and annoyingly.
Still, Siphyr calmly replied to his words, "Yes, I do think you're a fool. 450,000!" His response made the other people in VIP rooms laugh unexpectedly and the people below did their best to hold it.
But they were also shocked when Siphyr raised his own bid as if he was inciting the one in VIP room 1.
"500,000! You're not the only one with a large amount of gold here!"
"550,000!" In response Siphyr just kept bidding, raising the price even higher than before.
"600,000!"
"680,000!"
"700,000!"
"750,000!"
As if they were losing their insanity, all the people there were shocked by how high they were bidding.
Such an astronomical would almost be enough to buy a celestial grade weapon!
"800,000! Hahaha! I can keep going if you want!" He laughed once more but to his surprise. Siphyr only casually gave up on the bid.
"Although it's a pity, you can have it. I can just buy a similar weapon from the VIP floors at a much lower price." He said and it made everyone dumbfounded.
But they soon realized that it was as if Siphyr was planning for this to happen. He never wanted this dagger and it seems like his target was to make the person he just met for the first time bid on a higher price.
"Y... Y.... Y- You bastard! To think I would be fooled by you!" He loudly cursed and his rage only rose even more as the voice of the girl on the stage sounded.
"800,000 gold coins! What a large amount of gold, is there anyone who would like to bid for a higher price? No? Then, I'll start counting, going once! Going twice....! And.... Sold to VIP room 1!" She smiled brightly knowing that she would get a bonus in this bid.
On the other hand, the person in VIP room 1 was clenching his fist in anger. He was a greedy person and he liked to get what was not meant for him.
The only reason he bid against Siphyr was because he knew Siphyr wanted that dagger. But to think he would give up and make him bid 300,000 gold coins more than the original estimated price. He was fuming with anger.
"Now onto the next item! This thing here is a defensive armor made from a white boa's scales. It's called White Boa Scale Armor by the one who made it without giving its name much thought." She smiled wryly when mentioning the name of the armor.
"This armor will not only be resistant to flame techniques but it also has a one time use defensive ability that could block a full blow from someone at the terminal phase of the second realm!"
"It can block a full blow from someone at the peak of the second realm? I must get this thing for my son!" The father who bid earlier once again participated in the auction.
"If that thing can really help me block a full blown attack from someone at the terminal phase then I shall do everything to make it mine!" Another person's voice from the VIP room near Siphyr was heard.
Although it was a one use ability it can still greatly help them. After all, even a slight advantage can make you win in a fight.
"The starting price will be 1,000,000 for this celestial grade armor!" The amount greatly skyrocketed, but it was to be expected as the lowest price a celestial grade weapon can go is about a million gold coins.
"1,200,000!" The first one to bid was the father bidding for his son and he sounded desperate.
"1,300,000!" After him was the person next to Siphyr's room. Afterwards, the price went up until the one from VIP room 1 bid.
"Hmph! 1,600,000!" His obvious display of scorn was heard and it made everyone dissatisfied. They felt like he was looking down at all of them, but they didn't bid anymore as no one was willing to go any higher than 1,500,000 gold coins.
However, once again Siphyr started to bid when he heard his annoying voice.
"1,650,000!" He was smirking while he announced his bid and hearing the familiar voice coming from room 3, the man's irritated voice sounded.
"You bastard! It's you! Are you going to raise the price again?!"
