Yin Meru, Yin Meira, children of the Yin Family who was previously one of the great families in the Central region.
The reason for being here was to escape after their family's downfall. They got sent here by their parents in order to protect them from political issues.
And this was a perfect sect for them as the Moonlight Palace is a secluded sect, so even great families can't do much here much less enter without permission.
If they do, they'll likely get forced to leave or get killed if matters get worse.
The four of them joined together to form a temporary group and explored the forest.
However, before they could even find an opponent, the first stage of the test ended.
"The first stage of the sect examination ends! For all those one hundred youngsters, head towards the shore."
The three of them looked at each other before moving at an incredible speed.
Naturally, Siphyr was matching his speed with theirs and after a few minutes they arrived at the shore.
They didn't do anything from the moment they arrived and waited for others to return.
"Is that all? 87.... Less than the estimated one hundred disciples. However, for all that passed, don't celebrate yet as there is still the 2nd and 3rd part of the test."
He stared at the people below him for a good while and slowly descended right after.
"Follow me." He said then began walking towards the other side of the forest. The people followed suit and after several minutes they arrived at the other side of the island.
The moment they arrived the old man spared no effort on watching the view and stepped on the bridge.
It was a bridge connecting them to the next stage of their examination.
"Everyone, line up and once it's your turn, put one of your hands inside of this water. This water and the pot will determine your bone age and help me pick which of the peaks you are suited best." The old man spoke as he brought out a treasure that looked like a pot.
"Don't worry, what I've said from before was merely a jest, after this you will need to fight with a 3rd class disciple and it doesn't matter whether you win or not."
"First in line come forward!" He announced and the first man in line put his hand inside the pot.
A moment later the pot glowed and the old man's voice resounded once again.
"Bone age, 17, Sword Peak."
"Next!"
Following after the first man, many others put their hands on the pot.
"Bone age, 16, Sword Peak."
"Next!"
"Bone age, 18, Medicine Peak."
"Next!"
"Bone age, 18, Spear Peak."
"Bone age, 17, Sword Peak."
.
.
.
Finally after almost half an hour, it was their group's turn next. Although they got there first, they decided to be the last in line.
Yin Meru's turn came and he stepped forward and put his hands inside the pot.
The pot glowed and what followed was the old man's voice.
"Bone age, 16, Archer Peak."
As expected, he was chosen to join the Archer Peak and this put a smile on his face.
He looked behind him before waving his hands and headed to the third stage.
Next was Yin Meira's turn and she followed what everyone did.
"Bone age, 18, Sword Peak."
'Sword Peak.... Although the old man said that pot helps him choose which pick, it seems that he's just allocating them based on what he saw.'
Siphyr thought and he hit the nail right in the head. However, the fact that this pot was able to determine bone age was true.
Finally, after Yin Meira waved her hand nonchalantly at them, Siphyr's turn came.
He walked forward as he turned his head to speak with Diane.
"After me, it'll be your turn next, so keep your eyes open for now."
As he arrived in front of the pot he directed his hands inside the pot and the pot glowed.
He felt an foreign energy swept through the pores of his skin towards his bones and after a second it disappeared.
"Bone age, 16, Spear Peak."
After him Diane reached out her hand overĀ Siphyr and put it inside the pot.
"Bone age, 16, Medicine Peak."
Diane got in the medicine peak maybe because she did nothing.
Diane frowned at the result and spoke to the elder with an annoyed voice.
"I don't.... want to join the medicine peak. I.... want to be with Siphyr!" She spoke with a tired angry voice that's cute to hear making me chuckle.
"Calm down, Diane. Just go there for now, and it's not like I won't be able to visit you anymore. Isn't that right sect elder?" He smiled towards the old man.
"Of course, there are no rules that prohibit the visit of another peak's disciple as long as they don't cause trouble." Said the old man.
"See? Don't worry, although we'll separate for now, I'll visit you once I have time. Also, if you manage to become a 2nd class disciple before I visit you, I'll do anything you want as long as it doesn't go against my discretion."
Hearing his words, Diane's mood brightened up as she knew Siphyr would keep his words.
Also, her fighting spirit went up, after all every time they made a deal like this, she still hasn't won even just once.
.
.
.
As Siphyr thought, he was indeed right and the old man did allocate them from judging on what weapon they used during the first stage of the test.
Spear Peak, it was the peak located between the Sword Sect and Medicine Peak.
The moment he arrived there was a towering mountain before him and at the entrance to the mountain a few dozen lined up.
The next part of the test was to spar with a 3rd class disciple.
From what he learned, disciples here are ranked from highest 1st class and lowest the 3rd class disciples.
The higher your class is the higher your lodge will be in the mountain. The higher you go, the higher the quantity and quality of the Nyxavor.
As for the sect elder in charge of the mountain, their lodges are located at the peak.
While waiting for his turn, Siphyr turned towards the medicine peak and smiled.
'At least that'll keep her motivated for now. I just hope she won't go overboard.'
"Next!"
Siphyr's thoughts were interrupted by the loud voice of a disciple in dark red robes.
It was finally his turn.
