Oliver was in shock. He couldn't believe the woman that offered to raise him would be the one to end his life. He wanted to protest maybe even scream but he couldn't do anything except than to remain silent. Before Jessica or rather Miranda could do anything, the orchid pendant started to glow really brightly. The light was almost blinding. In a sudden flash of light a woman appeared. She looked very delicate and frail as her long white hair flowed down to her back accompanied by pale grey eyes and a small and not to mention her gorgeous white dress.
"Miranda...I should've known you could have never been trusted!" The woman spoke as the light from the pendant dimmed. Miranda was taken a back as she dropped the knife from her possession. "Malaria...your here? In the flesh...how!?" Miranda blurted out as she began to back away from both Oliver and his mother. "I couldn't allow you to kill my son, I trusted you to care for him yet here you are...you almost killed him!" Malaria remarked as her eyes narrowed in disgust and disappointment. Miranda picked up the knife again; she was agitated. "Oliver, pumpkin are you okay?" Malaria asked as she pulled up her son from where he was sitting and into a tight but gentle hug. Oliver couldn't comprehend what was taking place; his mind was overwhelmed with the events taking place. He pulled away from the hug slightly as he looked at his mother with teary eyes.
"M-mom?!... you're here!" Oliver cried as he hugged his mom tight. "Yes pumpkin... mommy is finally here..." Malaria comforted her crying child. Miranda watched as the two reunited feeling a sense of regret and distress. In a swift motion, Miranda attempted to attack them but Malaria used her magic and froze her in place. "Now for you, Miranda, my old friend...I shall not tolerate your existence anymore." Malaria's hand glowed as she extended it towards Miranda. In no time Miranda started screaming in pain which caught Oliver's attention. It turns out Malaria had set Miranda on fire. "Aaaaghhhhh!!!!! You can't hide him forever!!! Your brother will have him dead one way or another!!!!!" Miranda screamed as she ran around crying in a high pitched tone.
Miranda burned to ashes as her tears fueled the burning fire. Malaria's hand stopped glowing as she continued to hug Oliver. Oliver was in shock and appeared to be a little frightened but all that mattered to him now was that he would be with his mother from now on. "Mom...what's going on? Why did...how did you know what was happening?" Oliver questioned as he he looked down at his mother as he towered over her. "My dear, it's a long story but before I explain anything, we need to get out of here." Malaria said as she created a portal; it was shining as if it was its own source of light. She walked inside of the glowing portal, pulling her son along with her. The portal closed with a white flash and a loud hum.
