Malaria and her son arrived in a new place, one that was filled with life and energy. As the portal closed behind them, Oliver couldn't help but stare in awe at his new surroundings. It was a kingdom. There were markets, weapon mages, blacksmiths and even carpenter shops. Malaria chuckled to herself, seeing her son being so captivated by the kingdom's beauty.
"This my dear, is the kingdom of Lamadia. I am the duchess of this kingdom. This is the place you were born." Malaria said as her elegant dress dragged across the floor while she walked. "The royal symbol of this kingdom is a simple flower; an orchid, which is the reason for your pendant." Malaria continued. Oliver looked down at his pendant and clutched it in his right palm. "Everything is so... different here..." Oliver said as he walked along side his mother around the kingdom. The kingdom was filled with beautiful flowers-roses, tulips, periwinkles, sunflowers and of course orchids and much more.
Thirty minutes later into their walk around the kingdom, they arrived Infront of the palace. "This is the Limadia palace, it was built centuries ago. This is where I live; consider this place your new home." Malaria spoke with a cheerful tone, her happiness prominent. "Wow...mom...this palace looks huge..." Oliver stated as he looked at the beautiful white and gold architecture. "Mom, are you the only one living here?" Oliver questioned as he looked at his mother curiously. "Well, if you mean as the only one of royal blood then no." Malaria responded. Oliver tilted his head in confusion as his mother's answer was vague. "Let's go inside, shall we?" Malaria added, leading her son inside the palace.
The palace had over 20 rooms and was 4 stories high. It had 4 watch towers surrounding it. For a palace of this size, Oliver didn't expect it to have a lot of furniture; he was proven wrong. The palace looked like it was brand new, there was no dust, no cracking walls, it was just perfect. The white and gold walls were complimented with white orchids, growing in pots and vases. The castle garden was no different, instead of it being enclosed by walls there was a giant glass dome over the garden; providing natural lighting. It took around two hours to complete the tour of the palace. Oliver was sweating and panting from the long walk while his mother seemed unaffected. "You'll get use to it soon, pumpkin" the duchess remarked as she used a handkerchief to wipe off her son's face. "Thanks mom, now what are we going to do?" Oliver inquired. "You'll see." his mother responded while having a smile on her face.
THUD
THUD
THUD
THUD
Loud thuds could be heard from outside the castle. The sound got louder and louder as time passed. Oliver was agitated, however, his mother consoled him by patting his back. "Pumpkin, don't be frightened. It's only the people of the kingdom marching. They are celebrating your arrival. When the night comes I'll show you the festivities that will occur in your honor" Malaria suggested. Oliver's eyes lit up with excitement. "That sounds great!" Oliver beamed. The maids and butlers will help you prepare, if you need me I'll be right here." Malaria said as she walked away towards a large bookshelf. Oliver nodded in response as he wondered towards his room.
Oliver was still wondering. It seems that the castle was too big to remember. While searching for his room, he bumped into a mysterious figure. He almost fell backwards, his eyes closed while he awaited a harsh fall. To his surprise he felt a soft touch along his waist. He opened his eyes in confusion, looking up at the mysterious person with a nervous smile and a blush of embarrassment.
