Chapter 29: The Mark
Calhoun was now utterly confused. What was his father trying to do?
"Stop stalling time and do as I have told you quickly." Jayen's stern voice made Calhoun focus back. He sighed inwardly and discarded his outer coat and started working on the front buttons.
How this going to help Stella? He didn't know and he was getting impatient. He was half naked by the time he reached the mirror.
He looked at himself in the mirror. Jet black hair, a devilishly handsome face, intimidating blue eyes, and a perfectly maintained body. Only if he had his beast.
He caught his father staring at something on his back. Curious, he turned around to look at his back. He knew his body well, and there cannot be anything interesting on his back.
But this time he was wrong. He had something that he wanted for his entire life, and also something that will weigh heavily on his heart forever.
