The next morning, Tapiwa took a shower inside the store space. Not everyone was fond of bathing and since they were given water at night, there wasn't going to be any in the morning.
She was given however water to wash her face and rinse her mouth.
After grooming herself, she wore another kaftan as the one for yesterday had the scent of smoke. Unless it was washed, she wasn't going to fish it out.
That morning, Grandma Biel served them breakfast, which was a huge plate of boiled and roasted sweet potatoes and warm water.
Tapiwa ate with relish. After all, there were not a lot of sweet potatoes back home. Even if they were, they would be finished through selling as she was money-hungry more than anything else.
She kept a few sweet potatoes in her store space before the plates were taken away.
Seeing so many sweet potatoes gave her an idea. Since she wanted to help the village, wouldn't it be better if she did that through trading?
