Chapter 55 - CHAPTER 55: 1st PROJECT 3

Opposite to what she anticipated, Tambudzai and her daughters still woke up very early the next day without showing any signs of fatigue, and seeing this, Tapiwa's heart couldn't help but ache for them, especially the kids.

'Just how was Madam Sekai treating these four for them to act normally like this?' she wondered as she made her way towards the raging fire.

Since Tambudzai was fully knowledgeable about the whole process, when Tapiwa woke up, she and her daughters had prepared everything that was needed so that they wouldn't waste any more time like they did the previous day.

And thanks to her foresight; that day's work was much better compared to the previous day.

Everything went very smoothly, as they were all more proficient in what they were doing.

And because of that, they managed to be done before six in the evening, which was something to be very proud of.

If more people were helping and not just children, the job would have been completed much earlier than what they did, but still, that was something that made them happy. Knowing that they have a lot of time to have some rest and just relax.

They were also going to sleep much earlier, which was a huge relief.

Another day passed by again.

The next day, which was the final day; especially for the first project of the tomato sauce that Tapiwa was taking part in finally arrived.

And just like the past two days, the five of them worked cooperatively and managed to get the job done beautifully.

With the main process completed, Tapiwa was finally at ease. Looking at the four barrels filled with thick sauce emitting such a tempting and tantalizing fragrance and begging to be eaten, she could only just imagine how successful it would be when introducing it to the world.

If it was before she had connections, she would have been worried about where to sell it, but that wasn't the case anymore.

The inn in Guche needed new recipes to attract customers back to it. And in another two weeks or so, the renovations would be done, and that means that she would be needed to teach the cooks some recipes.

And having her club, which was a separate entity to supply sauce to the inn, would be another way to earn money from the sauce.

However, she didn't want to just supply the inn alone, she also wanted to sell nearby, and that meant supplying some restaurants or shops in Namwapa as well.

Some so many rich people could afford what she would be providing from now on and it would be for the best if she earned that money without suffering too much.

However, another problem was going to definitely arise, safeguarding her recipe from some vultures. Some people were simply arrogant and thought that the world should solely belong to them.

Whatever they want, they should get it and honestly, she didn't want trouble at all.

She wasn't too strong to protect everyone around her and yet at the same time, she also didn't want to be a coward. That was why whenever there was time and during her bath, she would be practicing.

At the moment, she can confidently say that she was getting there, but if an attack was to be launched, she didn't even want to think of the repercussions.

However, she didn't want to be a coward and fear the world simply because there were unprincipled people there.

So even though some people would be annoying her in the future regarding her tomato sauce, she was still going to sell it and protect it with everything she had.

If she can't safeguard just one recipe, then won't that mean that a blessing was wasted on her?

She didn't want to become a waste, despite being chosen and made different from others. She was going to do everything in her power to stand head tall and on a level where they all must raise their heads to look at her.

She was going to stand in the position of power and supremacy, no matter how hard or long it was going to take.

The following day wasn't a cooking day like previously, but the sauce was being bottled into the containers that Tapiwa had brought with her previously.

To test the market and also leave some sauce for the Guche's inn, Tapiwa only instructed for one barrel to be bottled.

"My lady, will you be selling these to town?" Tambudzai asked excitedly as she looked at the fifty bottles that they had filled with the sauce.

Tapiwa smiled at Tambudzai, who was more or less acting like a child but seeing her that way. She was very excited despite the hard work that was involved in the process.

"Yes, I want to sell them there. I hope that they will earn me back all the money I spent."

Tambudzai flashed a resolute smile towards Tapiwa upon hearing her saying that and said, "Don't worry, My Lady. I believe in you. Besides, there aren't many people that sell sauce. It's too expensive to even think of selling it and if you sell it, you will be more or so taking the market to yourself, especially this side."

Although she wasn't knowledgeable about many things, Tambudzai was the person in charge of cooking back when she was at her husband's house.

She had seen tomato sauce once at some rich household where she went to do some piecework a few years ago. For her to know about it, the maid in charge of them kept on reminding them of how expensive everything was and how they should be careful around this and that.

It was simply so irritating at first, but as time passed, they all got used to it.

After that, she heard her former mother-in-law boasting about how, at some point back in time, she ate a meal with a little sauce and how delicious it was.

Just listening to her boasting made her wonder just how unique, and special this sauce was, but to her greatest surprise, she ended up becoming one of the few people who knew how to make it.

She didn't know how different the sauce she participated in making was different from that of other people, but what she knew with how delicious this sauce was after tasting it, she knew that it was going to sell well and that is all that mattered.

And since she was on her mistress's side, Tambudzai would always be rooting for her. If her mistress failed, it also meant that she and her daughters would also fail.

And failing wasn't something pleasant and something that everyone would love to experience. For once, especially after her husband's death, she just wanted to win or at least participate in something that would make her achieve something like that.

And somehow, a feeling deep down inside her was telling her that as long as she followed her mistress, she was going to be a victor. And a victor, she was going to become.
