Chapter 35 - The Thorn

A phone was delivered to Aisha's room on the next day as promised by her father and the first thing she did was use the phone to call up an interior designer to renovate her room, after getting Dhananjay's permission for the same.

"I don't think I should wear sleeveless dresses. My scars are very much visible because of them." Aisha quoted after trying on one of her dresses that she had bought yesterday. She glanced at herself in the mirror and was disgusted by her scars. They are like a leech that would never leave her body no matter what she was to do.

"Yes. However, there are many sleeveless dresses here. You can use a coat or something." Maya suggested.

Aisha sighed and then wore a short black dress with full sleeves." I'm going on a stroll, call me up when those renovators come. " Aisha left the room alone along with her mobile to get some fresh air.

At first, Aisha thought it was useless to renovate that shitty room that she hated seeing since her fourth life and the cursed celling that is always present when she opens up her eyes.

The white ceiling covered with stars that shone in the dark had become Aisha's biggest enemy. Although she adored her nanny and wanted to keep all her memories alive, this one was no longer a memory of her late nanny but just an unsettling view that was always above her.

Since Aisha had already made up her mind to live this life for revenge. The first thing she wanted to start with was the ceiling. Killing it would be her first step in her path to revenge. Another reason was that this was a test to see how destroying something you hate feels because Aisha still had her doubts at the back of her mind.

The greenery in the garden of Khurana Mansion never dies. The scent of the flowers always flows in the air and overwhelms the one who passes by.

'What's the use of flowers when there are only thorns living in the house? ' Aisha plucked a rose that had sharp thorns in it. Her finger bled but she didn't bat an eye to it. Instead, she smelled the rose and then crushed it in her palms.

A certain someone was standing near the beautiful sitting area, seeing the scene as if it were a show. The beautiful sitting area is the main attraction of the garden. It is painted cream with a few patches of gold making it look royal and pretty. A place anyone would enjoy hanging out at.

When Aisha spotted him, she threw the rose below her feet and crushed it more. She didn't stop until her phone rang. It was Maya, the renovators had arrived. Aisha turned around but before she could leave the garden, the spectator approached her.

"Your style looks different." He said. "I like your previous one though. You looked like a doll—"

"It was never my style." She pointed out the dressing style she wore until now. That was the style her father preferred. "And I am not a doll. However, you my dear brother are a puppet. Now, If you could please excuse me."

"I—" He raised his voice intending to stop Aisha but she didn't, so he followed her. "I had been thinking about what you said the previous Monday morning."

"Good for you." She continued forwarding back towards the mansion.

"Why don't you complete the discussion you started." Aisha stopped.

"Yes, Indeed we should." She folded her hands around her chest after turning around to look at Neel. This time she was not afraid at all. She courageously looked into his eyes. "But not now. I am busy."

"Why? Because the renovators have come. Why would you even need them, first of all? Ha! Let's just sit—"

"I hate the way my room looks. It makes me sick." She interrupted him again. " So, I decided I should kill everything that makes me feel like puking. You see, I hate irritating things and—" Aisha scanned Neel from top to bottom. " People. "

Aisha started walking back to the mansion again as fast as she could but her heels wouldn't allow her to.

Neel followed her inside the mansion, racking his brain trying to find a way to find out what exactly she meant two days ago. Unfortunately for him, Aisha had done a good job shutting him up. " Well, um— I think we should have a conversation on—"

"Next week, Monday, in the evening, sharp at 5 in my room. I'll tell you everything. Now, shut up! " She climbed the stairs.

" Why next week? Just tell me right now right here. " He said not following her anymore, somehow annoyed because it was the first time someone other than Dhananjay had said no to him.

"Do you think the matter is so petty that we could discuss it over here?" Aisha turned to take a look at his annoyed face which gave pleasure to her.

"This is a very confidential matter. What if our father finds out? Moreover, I need to confirm something. I'll be done confirming it on Monday when I meet father again. This way I will be able to explain things more clearly."
