"You have no right to punish her, she is my maid," Aisha screamed louder, as anger started to arouse more in her after hearing that the only person who cared about her, Maya was in that state was because of her. It happens every time, if Dhanajay ever finds out that Aisha loves someone that person gets killed. 'Why is he so cruel?! '

Dhanajay pulled Maya up again, this time clenching at her nape because he was tired of getting her hair in his hand. "Let her go!" She shouted.

"But you are right she is your maid and you must have the right to punish her." Aisha calmed down and stopped trying to get out of the well on hearing that. " So—" An uneasy silence surrounded the area when Dhananjay tried to continue what he was saying. Last time too. He has a habit of saying a single word before doing something terrible. Aisha hoped she was wrong and he wouldn't do anything of the kind that was going on in her mind. She was afraid and was getting weird ideas.

'What if he killed her? Or maybe cut her head? No! No! I'm thinking too much that's murder. He'll be jailed for that. Then again he has killed many but still, he is not behind bars. So then what will he do?' Aisha thought and then started her struggle to climb up again.

" —I will send her to you. Deal with her. " Aisha fell after a few steps and Dhanajay made Maya stand at the end of the entrance to the well.

" She'll die. Stop! Please." Aisha screamed.

" Keke! That's what I want. " He replied in a low voice but loud enough for everyone present over there to hear.

The two servants regretted informing Dhananjay about the incident. They did not expect he would do something so cruel. All they wanted was some reward and they will indeed get it too but after tainting their hands red by the blood of an innocent. They shivered in a corner, crying while seeing their colleague die.

Maya looked at the empty, dark space with her narrowed eyes, finding it hard to keep them open. She couldn't stand because of her twisted leg and broken bones but she had a small smile on her face, not forced but genuine. She was happy that she died while rebelling against the evil who had hurt her miss. She felt like a martyred, a soldier who died for her nation, who was her little Miss.

Aisha stood there in silence, desperate to find a way to save her maid but was unable to find any. The whole area was covered with snakes and there were no blind spots. And then in the next minute, Dhananjay pushed Maya, who fell still smiling without letting out a single cry. Aisha looked up trying to find out where she could fall. She wanted to catch her. If Aisha kept Maya in her arms and kept her away from snakes Maya could survive.

"By tomorrow, if both of you are alive, I will get you both out." And then Maya landed inside the well but not in Aisha's arms. Aisha heard the sound of a thud but couldn't estimate where she fell. She started to crawl over the snakes to look at Maya, though she kept getting pulled in. "Maya!" Aisha screamed in hopes of getting a reply. "Tell me! Where are you?" But she received no reply.

Maya didn't shout or scream from pain she kept smiling unaware of her surroundings and while she was seeping in, she heard her little lady. "Here!" She said in a low voice but it echoed and reached Aisha's ears. Numerous snakes bit Maya and she was poisoned and in a lot of pain but had no energy to scream.

'So, this is how it feels in the well. How did my miss go through this all alone for 9 years? She had done nothing wrong to go through so much pain? I always thought she was weak but now I know how strong she is. Someone who can survive this, how can that person not be strong? But I'm sorry miss, I doubt I'll survive this. I'm not strong' Maya's tears started to flow from her eyes which were relished by the snakes. That's when Aisha finally found Maya and pulled her out of the clutches of the snake and picked her up in her arms.
